But they are only down 23-17. Pitt hasn't scored a touchdown this half. NE defense played better. All means nothing now.

There are rules to keep the offense from intentionally batting it forward (see the Holy Roller play), but I don't believe there's anything to keep the defense from doing it. Not 100% sure, though.
 
Steelers win, but it was a great game. I would love to see these two in the AFC Championship Game and I believe it will be.
