Even Sanchez got a ridiculous call yesterday. Defender hit him square in his chest a millisecond after the ball was released yet he got a late hit penalty. I would like Jerry to get more vocal about this issue. His nice guy act to everything is kinda annoying me. Jerry, you're going to get another Super Bowl, stop bending over backwards for it.

Also, I'd like to see a little more fire from Tyron Smith. He seems completely emotionless every time Romo is laying on the ground after a hit.

What good would it do to piss off the NFL good 'ol boy network? (Although I firmly believe he already had.)

The Refs are Teflon. Period.

Romo wouldn't be any safer, I can guarantee you that.

I asked all the "bad calls are all over the league" crowd to find one this bad uncalled. No response.

Granted. I watch every play the Cowboys snap. But I do watch other games too.....but its mostly Dallas.

Having said that . I agree with OP. Its unacceptable. I have witnessed 3-4 late hits on Romo that just go unflagged!!!! Its....you know what!!

Also, that rookie ...hickberry or dingleberry or whatever his name is in Philly......he needs a big dose of payback, when the time comes.

That hit that cause Romo the collarbone, was clearly driving the QB into the turf!! Watch it again....he clearly drives the QB into the turf at the last second...

Is Hicks and our OL took him out for the season in the last game with a torn pec

Yeah. I wish someone who was smart would post the pic from that link. He freeze frame is says it all. He's still engaged with Free and 5 yards away and the ball is 10ft out of Romo's hand. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-o...e-hit-sunday-shows-up-on-week-2-injury-report

Philadon is right. U know, I think I am a resonable person. Refs arent going to catch everything....

But this starting to become a trend. The missed personal fouls and late hits against Romo are becoming a trend!!!!! . The players know too....without T Romo at QB, they win, and their chance at a larger paycheck increases.......! .............................yeah.

lol OSweiller yesterday..

Dude did a belly flop on him way after the play.

I agree with you though.. It seems like the Cowboys games get used as a tool to showcase what they are trying to implement.

The McFadden TD called back against NYG may have cost us the season and they were just simply using that play as an example for a guy to not go downfield too early even though he didn't.

It would send a message to the NFL that were on their bias on the Cowboys compared to other teams and that were not as clueless as it seems.

But unfortunately, we are damn clueless or the FO feels that its above themselves not to challenge ANY CALLS at all - which is dumb.

I'm sick of this high road approach stance that we take. Every team challenges the refs regarding ANY calls. We sit there like were nothing more than crash test dummies.

It's time Jerry speaks up. Enough is enough now. I have never seen a QB get hit after a play as much as Romo. The worst part is, 90 percent of the time it's a hit to his back. It gets very irritating watching this happen and then see someone breathe on Aaron Rodgers and a flag comes out. The FO or even Garrett should say something to get this problem rectified. End rant/

You just now noticed how the officiating is always fair, but only to the opponents?
It was like the refs were tempting fate. Off course, had Romo been injured, the refs would half called a foul.

Even if you ignore all the other crappy calls and don't complain, this is definitely one you have to complain about.

It is simply inexcusable for the organization to allow this to blatantly continue like this. We just saw how bad the team is without the QB. I can understand if there is a dubiousness to the timing of the hit, but some of these are so obviously late, it's ridiculous that they're not called with the supposed brouhaha that happened years ago about protecting the QBs.

Although I don't believe Heath committed a penalty since it wasn't helmet to helmet, lowering his helmet like that could have resulted in one and also could have led to a neck injury for him. Hopefully, the coaches point that out to him on tape.

Wasn't there a rule change recently that prohibits players from leading with their helmets, regardless if it's helmet to helmet contact?

It makes SMART BUSINESS sense to bring it up and out into the media because ROMO is our single biggest investment for this team - now and into the short future.

However, I'm still dumbfounded and baffled by the lack of inaction by the FO and the coach in this topic.

Is the FO and the coach so worried about what the public thinks that they are paralyzed into NOT doing anything? I certainly hope not.

The Cowboys should stop worrying about what the public thinks. They don't pay the bills and they are going to hate the Cowboys regardless.

They need to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to protect ROMO. But they aren't doing a damn thing about it. That is just sad.

What's the remedy? A strongly worded email to Roger? Boycott the rest of the season? What exactly is Jerry and Co supposed to do.. run on the field and beat up the refs? I agree with the premise of your thread, Romo does not get protected like others do but I am not sure what Jerry can do about it. If he calls out the Refs, it could likely get worse and then what? Jerry refuse to allow Dallas games to be televised? I just don't know what can be done about it and for that matter, I am sure Jerry sees it and has said something just because it wasn't public doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

I'm starting to think Jerry is a push-over in this league with the owners... He should have been throwing fits years ago...
