1. Kansas City Chiefs -- Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
2. Jacksonville Jaguars -- Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
3. Oakland Raiders -- Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida
4. Philadelphia Eagles -- Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
5. Detroit Lions -- Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU
6. Cleveland Browns -- Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
7. Arizona Cardinals -- Matt Barkley, QB, USC
Before Geno Smith?
8. Buffalo Bills -- Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
9. New York Jets -- Dion Jordan, OLB, Oregon
10. Tennessee Titans -- Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah
I still don't buy Star falling this far. If he really has a heart problem, he will fall much lower, if not, he will be near the top.
11. San Diego Chargers -- Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
12. Miami Dolphins -- Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington
14. Carolina Panthers -- Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
15. New Orleans Saints -- Ezekiel Ansah, OLB/DE, BYU
16. St. Louis Rams -- Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas
17. Pittsburgh Steelers -- Damontre Moore, OLB, Texas A&M
18. Dallas Cowboys -- Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
If his character issues check out OK, then he will get drafted earlier, IMO. If not, then the Cowboys won't draft him.
19. New York Giants -- Bjoern Werner. DE, Florida State
20. Chicago Bears -- Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
21. Cincinnati Bengals -- D.J. Fluker, OT, Alabama
22. St. Louis Rams -- Keenan Allen, WR, California
23. Minnesota Vikings -- Datone Jones, DE/DT, UCLA
24. Indianapolis Colts -- Sylvester Williams, DT, North Carolina
25. Minnesota Vikings -- Tavon Austin, WR, West Virginia
26. Green Bay Packers -- Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
This would be the steal of the draft, but I don't think it happens. He could get drafted before Warmack.
27. Houston Texans -- DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
28. Denver Broncos -- Johnathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State
29. New England Patriots -- Kawann Short, DT, Purdue
Talent vs Work-Ethic issues.
30. Atlanta Falcons -- Alex Okafor, DE, Texas
I could see him not even getting picked in the 2nd round.
31. San Francisco 49ers -- Eric Reid, S, LSU
I just don't see it.
32. Baltimore Ravens -- Kevin Minter, MLB, LSU
He will have to run much better at his Pro-Day than the 4.81 forty and the 2nd worst 10-yard time of any LB at the combine.

I agree with you on Star, but if he does not go in the top 4, 5-9 are pretty set at DT or 3-4 DE.

Richardson is Tennessee, Carolina or perhaps St. Louis because he is not a scheme diverse player. He is a 4-3 3 technique or he is just a guy.

100% agree on Cooper. Minnesota, St. Louis or Chicago if not Dallas would take him.

At the end of the round it was pretty obvious that he was just filling a need for those teams where several of those teams are clearly BPA teams.

Um, what are you talking about? In 2011, 4 quarterbacks were taken in the top 12 (Newton, Locker, Gabbert, Ponder).

OK, I was a little off as well. I looked it up and the last time only 1 QB was taken was 2001. Only Michael Vick was drafted in the first round of that draft. Brees was taken with the 1st pick of the second round that year.

In 97, only 1 QB was taken in the 1st round as well and that was Jim Drunk-on-Miller. Jake Plummer was taken in the 2nd round and not another QB was drafted till the 4th. In 96, no QBs were drafted in the 1st round. Tony Banks was the 1st QB off the board with the 12th pick of the 2nd round and went in the 3rd round.

It does happen.

I doubt Mingo or Jones go top 10. Barkley at 7 is a joke to me. You can get him in the second round IMO. I don't love Smith at 8 either but I can see him going before I can see Barkley. A lot of NFL scouts did not love what Rhodes did at the Combine. Lots of question as to how good he can be at CB. He runs well in a straight line but his hips are really stiff according to some scouts. I don't know if he's a 1st rounder or not. I do not love Ansah at 15. I HATE Moore in the 1st round. I think Hankins is a third round pick. I think Short is a 2nd or 3rd as well. Okafor is also a 2nd day pick IMO. I would take Cooper and Werner over Richardson.

I just don't love this at all. I'm completely on a different page then most I guess.

IM hoping for OL in round 1. Warmack, Cooper, Fluker, or trade down and pick up Warford.

If Star falls out of the top 5 the truth of his echo-cardiogram will be public, and why on earth would we ever pass on Bjoern Werner, I agree if Richardson is available there is a bad strike somewhere on him.
I may be in the minority but I think Barkley is better than Smith for the QB's.
We would be smiling all draft weekend if we ended up with Werner and then a top OLineman in the second rd.

:laugh2:

You literally write that every single time someone mentions Richardson to Dallas. Word for word.

Always kind of make me laugh.

Anyway, can someone tell me what the negative issues are with Richardson? I haven't heard any of them.

Thanks in advance.

I think a lot of people look at Mock Drafts wrong. Instead of looking at who they give us, look at who they have available for us to pick and even players taken just ahead. As long as they have a general feel for where guys are going their mock should give us a feel of who could be available because we usually know more who are teams are eyeing.

I've never heard anything but the blanket statement 'character issues'. Which, without specifics, is little more than gossip and stereotypes

Meh. I read the mocks but I don't take many seriously. Not terribly fond of this one.

Generally when a highly talented player has to go the JUCO route, character issues are just assumed. He was suspended for one game this season for "unspecified reasons". An ESPN report speculated is he wasn't putting any effort into his academics. He's also been known to shoot off a lot at the mouth and say a lot of really dumb things using his outside speaking voice. For example, I'm not sure how much he would like to play in Texas...

"I hate people from Texas. I give people on our team from Texas a hard time because they're from Texas. I hate Texas. I just do. I hate Texas. Any other overrated state in football I pretty much hate. That's how I feel about it ... Overrated. Overrated. Overrated. It's blown out of proportion. It really is. I played against their best recruits and I wasn't impressed, at all."

Which is kinda funny, considering half the Mizzou lockerroom is made up of Texas kids.

His reasoning is ridiculous.

The Cowboys might be tempted to take an offensive right tackle, but that means cutting Doug Free, and that doesn't create the cap space they need. It makes more sense to take a defensive tackle to team up with Jay Ratliff and figure out later which one is the NT and the "3 Tech."

It all sounds pretty minor. First of all it sounds like he may have a similar demeanor to Ratliff and has mouthed off some in the press. He also had some academic issues and missing classes and at least one time was suspended a game for skipping a punishment for missing class. That's all I could find. Doesn't sound like a criminal or drug problem here.

I don't see how someone else couldn't have noticed... maybe I'm just the first person to say something about it.

Anyway...

Can you please tell me what his character issues are?

InmanRoshi said that he's outspoken, but that isn't really character problems. Like IR indicated... character issues are sometimes assumed when a player goes the JUCO route.

I'm looking for a solid answer on what his issues are though, so do you mind telling me because I've had no success finding what they are?

Surely there's more than that... I mean, those issues wouldn't have to check out with NFL teams really, would they?
