It's not weird if you take into account that the meda from dc.com likely put it together rather than actual coaches. They also list Hill as a 1T and Hamilton as a 3T among others.
Ya, I think collectively this forum has already put more thought into this document than its creators did by an order of magnitude.

If this roster depth looks more like a 4-3 D, how does that mean Parsons is out of the starting lineup?

Isn't Parsons going to be our starting Middle LB with LVE and Jaylon manning the Outside LB positions? That's 3...count them 1, 2, 3...LBs all together on the field, so the 4-3 base D makes total sense.

Except according to Quinn that is not the starting base on running downs. Why are 12 players listed? Should really be 4-2-5

LVE and Jaylon are the starters.

Jaylon is the Mike LB.

at least they are at camp.

But our base has been 4-2-5 nickel.

which is why taking an edge LB in the first was odd.
