i don't use their default rankings for our positional needs because i think they are awful.

All that said, I wouldn't mind that draft.

oh i see what you meant sorry, now this is what i would do and take
2nd trade down 3 slots to 5 take louis delmas (pick up a 5th)
3rd trade down again Herman Johnson (pick up another 5th & 7th)
4th trade down again 4 slot to 7 Rhett Bomar (pick up another 4th & 7th)
4th T J Lang
4th Jason Williams
5th Sammie Hill
5th Lardarius Webb
5th Johnny Knox
5th Louis Vasquez or Roger Allen
6th trade down, pick up 5th 2010 too and a lower 6th; Henry Melton
7th; trade down again, pick up a 2010 6th too; Everette Pedescleaux DE

you will have a 5th and a 6th or 7th extra picks, along with compensation picks of a 3rd and 4th hopefully for Chris Canty & Burnett, this wil enable us to move up high in 1st round next year with these extra picks to get an impact player

granted you cant trade your 3rd & 4th compensation picks, but you can trade your own 3rd and 4th to move up with the extra picks you get in draft this year;

why would the cowboys take another TE

they wouldn't.

the second draft is stated as being pure BPA regardless of position or scheme.

it is for purposes of seeing who is a possible BPA not seeing who we will draft.

I like this one much better! Where is Casey slotted on drafttek's rankings? Because instead of Bomar, I'd rather trade that pick & a future pick/player up to get Casey. But Bomar is not bad. Can he play out of the wildcat?

I like this one the best. I think Hodge could be a very good weakside ILB, nickel LB at the least.

If we want to move up for a high draft pick next year in the first round (which I am against) those 5th, 6th and 7th rounders will be worthless. It takes 1st and 2nd rounders to get other teams attention.

not getting what i am saying big dog
first as you know we have our
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th & 7th next year, we might have
3rd and 4th in compensation picks for canty & burnett

what you can do is trade your 1, 2 say a 4th
you can then trade the extra 5th, 6th and 7th to move back up into the 4th

all you would be losing then is your 2nd, in a sense;
so you would have after trading a high 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th;

thats not bad for winding up with a high impact player

now im not talking the number one pick at the top, that would cost too much

but for example next year there should be 3 top QBS coming out next year
McCoy, Tebow, and oklahoma QB, cant think of his name right now
you should be able to trade up and get one of those super QBs for example

not saying trade up to get a top QB, just giving a scenario, but you should be able to get up around the 7th to 10th slot in first round;

Colt McCoy and Tim Tebow will be backup qbs in the NFL.

.

They may well take a TE in the middle to later rounds, and brought in NC State's Anthony Hill for a visit.

They probably do need another TE, Hannah is a project and more of a receiver an almost assuredly brings no value in the short yardage offense, and almost assuredly cant replace Witten or Bennett if either got hurt.

Somebody will probably take him high, but he doesnt look like a bigtime NFL QB to me at all.

I agree...and one of them may not even be a FT QB in the NFL

Niether one of them can throw all the routes that an NFL QB needs to be able to make.
