From 1956 - 2014 the draft was at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Then a couple of the teams complained that they should get to have the draft so they started to take the draft on the road. There are several people from teams who actual work the draqft that have said they wish it was back at Radio City Music Hall. Also some of the announcers have also said that.

This is incorrect. Los Angeles and Philadelphia hosted drafts in the 1950's and 1960's. Chicago had it for three years in the 1960s. It moved to NY in 1965, and was held in hotels, most notably the Marriott Marquis and the New York Sheraton until 1995. In 1995, it went to the old Felt Forum, known as The Theatre at Madison Square Garden. It stayed there until 2005, where MSG had a pricing grievance with the NFL, and the NFL moved it to the Javits Center. In 2006, it moved to Radio City, where it stayed until 2014. Between 1994 and 2012, I went to every draft in person.

Despite what we think of the feagles, Philly is a great city. Lots of history, good food, and things to do. One of the best urban cities the US has to offer.
Just stay away from this place called Paddy's Pub. Ive heard bad things

A lot of whining. Draft is great. I love that it goes to different cities. The set up for the Chicago one was awesome. They have a 2 years for GB. I’m sure they can plan out logistics

I always thought it was because they double-booked the RCMH one year and the NFL rage-quit because of it.
Also, I HATE the way the draft is presented now. It reminds me of when the NFL tried running mini feel-good documentaries at halftime that had nothing to football, but were supposed to get women interested in the game. Yes, I’m stuck in the 80’s-90’s .

Living in Green Bay I sit and laugh at all the local sportscasters who keep claiming that the 2025 NFL draft will be the best one in decades. Here's why it will go down as one of the worst.

1. Green Bay IS NOT like big cities with countless hotel/motel rooms available.
2. Between the number of people each team and the league send to the draft and then all of the media people there aren't enough rooms available.
3. When the 10's of thousands of fans that go to the draft every year find out that they will be driving 40 minutes to 2 1/2 hours to go to the draft because that's how far they had to go to get a room.

The only thing Green Bay has enough of is bars for everyone to go to when the draft is over each day.

When those fans all complain to the NFL for having to fly across country to then have to rent a car to drive for a couple of hours and saying what in the world made you decide to have the draft in this small town.

Again the local sportscasters continue to talk about how great the draft will be.
