Laurent Robinson?

Jerry knew beforehand that front loading contracts outside normal bounds would be reviewed and frowned upon by the other cheaper owners. They played russian roulette and lost the gamble. Jerry tried to push the boundaries of the uncapped year and was warned before hand about possible consequences. So sad...Too bad...

Jerry was doing what other teams were doing, the contracts were even approved by the NFL at that time and now they come back with this and single out 2 teams from many who were doing the same thing? Please this non sense of Jerry is ruining the team is just BS.

Look. I am not a fan of Jerry Jones the GM. But you are wrong here. Just as wrong as the league is in handing don these penalties. They didn't do anything outside of the rules. Further, your assertion this league is a cartel and can do what it wants is off base. They have an anti-trust exemption. You think it's okay to collude with other owners to restrict the opportunity of it's employees? I bet the United States congress would have something else to say about that.

How's Jerry been doing for the Cowboys since 1995... Jerry took lessons from Al Davis and now the boys are on a slow consistent decline. How is that nonsense working out for ya...huh?

You can bloviate all you want but the NFLPA went along with the other owners on this penalty so your arguments and supposition is just wrong headed. As long as the players union sides with owners, you can collude all you want to and it is legal. It's only illegal if the players object which they aren't. You might want to scream "crazy" at someone else...

If Jerry decided to take this to the courts wouldn't the 10M be put on the back burner until a court decision was made?

Do you think Jerry is stupid enough to take this to court and try and get an injunction.... Laughable.... Jerry is not going to risk the current anti-trust exemption now being shared by the owners under the agreement with the players. If the owners and players stick together, NFL management can pretty much do anything they want to to any owner they want to. Jerry will just bend over...take it...and laugh all the way to the bank for the next 10 years.

Money talks....BS walks...

The Union didn't go along with this when the teams were colluding. That was after the fact. And then they bought off the union by saying we would give the money to other teams so the overall market wouldn't get hurt.

The fact is the league did in fact engage in collusion but wormed their way out of a challenge by paying the union off. And let's face it, the union isn't led by the brightest of the bright.

With that said, saying the other 30 teams said it was good to penalize tow teams and benefit themselves doesn't make it legal. Further, what the Cowboys did was completely within the rules.

Continue to push your hate Jerry agenda all you want but you re dead wrong.

I bet the mere threat of challenging it would take care of this for the very reasons you just said.

As Adam Schefter has said, this isn't the end of this story yet.

Back to Robinson, Werder just said we aren't expecting to be able to keep him.

:bang2:

But then again it's Ed Werder.

Werder still has good inside info even though Bobbi Carpenter is no longer on the team. :p:

I do think Dallas feels they can find someone to replace Robinson if he decides he wants starter money.

We can just agree to disagree on these points if you wish...
I would be willing to put money that Jerry will not contest this much.
He is not going to risk anti-trust exemptions and collusion charges in the courts because that would open up so many can's of worms, the end of the NFL would be in sight. Players don't like paying fines and being suspended either but they put up with it for the money. This is and has always been about money!!!

The NFLPA was none too happy with the cap number this year and this is how the owners and players association decided to get some additional dollars in the cap for 28 teams at the expense of 2... The Saints and Raiders don't get to drink at the hog trough for the extra dough.

This whole scenario has been one of collusion between the owners & players...get it???

I know. I just can't stand Werder.

This has to do with Robinson, how?

And on the merit of your argument it is baseless.

They just think he'll be too expensive.

We are going to be rumaging around in the garbage bin again this year...

Who knows, maybe we will go 2 & 14 next year and can finally get a franchise QB while rebuilding the team...Maybe...?

I will go directly against the great Ed Werder and say Robinson will be back.
