I think Li'Angelo is the one to get screwed here. He has an average college basketball skillset and athleticism. He's a 6'5" power forward.Lamelo had a shot to maybe be a late lotto pick, but his game to me comes off as an even less efficient Nick Young. If he plays overseas, and gets in of the better leagues I think his sense of entitlement will will sink him once he isnt getting playing time.
He could have really used that college education from UCLA.
But he's not an NBA talent. And playing overseas will just pay he bills, he won't be set up for life.
So a degree matters.
This may ironically help Melo because he will be forced to grow up. He'll be playing with grown men and they take no prisoners over in those Euro leagues. Dudes are playing to feed their families.
The best option would be China but LiAngelo of course is a friggin criminal there... smh.
If Melo plays well overseas and matures A LOT he may still end up a late lottery pick.
There's also hope Lavar gets locked up overseas for a few nights without his twitter or any news cameras in his face to think about shutting up.
