Yeah it's just a matter of time before teams wake up and stop panic paying these middling QBs top tier money. Much as I love Dak, even he would have been better served to take 30-35 million a year and allow the Cowboys to build a better team around him. All this posturing to be the highest paid knowing that it's only going to last about 5 minutes makes zero sense to me. But I do think the fact that guys like Winston, Haskins (RIP), Mariota, Gabbert, Bortles, Goff Wentz, Carr etc have been sent packing by the teams that drafted them shows that teams MIGHT be figuring it out. Even our friend Trey Lance got jettisoned by a really good team. Hopefully more teams wake up to this insanity about breaking the bank for one player like that.
You think Jerry might play hard ball with Dak? I wonder how much money the Cowboys are willing to offer him and how much has he asked for. I remember Fish said earlier in the offseason the Cowboys could probably get Dak for $48 million annually but that was before all the other extensions.

I TOLD yall!!! They run and hide after our victories and then slither out of their parents basements to post all week after our losses.

This is why I call them "low IQ Dak hatin, weak *** cowards". I can guarantee you these same weaklings are cowards in real life as well.

We all know who they are!!
I call them fake fans

Kinda like how you all disappear when Dak plays like crap?
Im here every sunday like clockwork to discuss stuff because I welcome the stupidity that comes from Dak hatin fake fans. I may not be too much involved in the game thread because some of the fans in here are just too unrealistic or phsycotic whever you choose to embrace

But then again Im not tied to Dak I just know he isnt what has been holding us back. Hes just part of it but Ill debate back and forth those who want to make our board a unplesant experience with their hate

These QBs that some have been assuring us are about to take over the league have a batting average of .250 right now? I guess that's good if you're a shortstop or a catcher but damn. I know that it's early in the season so there's time for things to turn around but damn. Burrow is pressing after the 50 million dollar a year contract so I expect him to calm down. Herbert is the new victim of the Kellen Moore curse. Lots of stats, no flow to the offense. Lawrence and Allen? Frankly neither has looked all that great even in their wins. Definitely something that bears watching.
I don’t think because their teams are off to a slow start that their QB’s aren’t still considered top tier in the league. Shoot they were 0-4.

I certainly would trade our QB for any of theirs.

But yea, a narrative could be constructed on their teams starting slow. And I’d lean more to this record will improve.

Unless there's a deep playoff run this season the front office will take a hard look at the QB position. No team takes on a $6M hit for a 3rd string QB when the backup position is already covered. Dak has been paid elite money without elite performance. Ceedee and Parsons's contracts are coming up, we know Dak can't function without elite talent around him so we must keep a $20M+ receiver. #11 is going to make north of 40M.

You they regurgitating this same statement. Y’all said we would suck because we can’t build a team around Daks contract. How many times do y’all have to be proven wrong?

Yes, I said as much in three different threads now ;)
Well, you're wrong. He's playing fine, but he's scatter-gunning throws as usual. Dang near got Gallup, Pollard, and CeeDee killed yesterday.

McCarthy is now calling a lot of one-read plays, which is helping and very smart.

Let the defense handle it. Good plan.

If Dak can't get there with this team, he can't get there with ANY team. We'll see.

In all fairness to Kellen, his offense has put up over 30 points in the last two game outing ... that's what you want your OC, offense to do.

Chargers defense have allowed over 30 points in their last two losses.
where's da doggone Defense ?

And isn't HC Brandon Stanley supposed to be a defensive ace coach ?

Interesting take after 2 games, why don’t you wait till December and let us know how interesting it looks then.

Yeah Mahomes is another one what people always like to throw out there as "doesn't need a run game or receivers..." So far this season without a run game and with a gimpy Kelce he don't look so amazing either. Thought let's be fair.. his numbers would have looked a lot better in that first game and really overall this season if Toney would actually catch the ball.
That was atrocious by Toney, still lost by only one point . But KC is getting on the right track , if Andy can get some semblance of running going.
