Call me crazy but I never thought he played that poorly. I'd take him back, but I also love our linebacker depth so I don't know.

I love the guy's athleticism. But there is a reason he can't stick anywhere.

If he could play the scheme properly then I think he'd be a great Nickel LB. Maybe a good Will.

The problem with Ernie Sims and I think fans have is he got exposed last season. But had he continued to play in the reserve role we had in place for him he would've been fine. But due to injuries, we had to rely on him to get major PT. I think he'd be a solid rotational guy with hunger but if he's going to get more snaps than he's suppose to then its going to be the same outcome. He's not a starter in this league.

Drafted by the Lions.
Doesn't stick.
Traded to the Eagles.
Doesn't stick.
Ends up with the Colts.
Doesn't stick.
Signs with the Cowboys.
Doesn't stick.

The third time's the charm rule is being abused.

The guy has the athleticism for the WOLB spot but he's worse than Carter.

At this point he is nothing more than a progress stopper.

I guess this is the new catch phrase when someone imagines our young talent is superior to a washed up veteran they don't want back.

I want nothing to do with him anymore, but I won't pretend that our unproven players are any better.

I want Ernie Sims to sign with a team in the NFC East other than the Cowboys.

But the unproven players have a chance to develop. We know what Sims is and it's not what we need going forward.

Don't bother. They go around looking for any hint of optimism they can squash. Their favorite game is whack-an-optimist. :)

I don't have a huge problem bringing the guy back, but not right now. I want to see who gets cut and who becomes available. If we get really banged up during camp and need a guy then go get him. I don't think it would be wise to just go get him for the sake of getting him. There will be some guys that get cut that can help us.
