Yes. I really hope they do a 30 for 30 on this and the true story comes out. Like you said it’s bizarre. Very very bizarre a round one prospect drops to 5th round without any arrests, drug problems, or significant injuries or off the field scandals. Especially at the QB position we’re lower round QBs are drafted higher so teams can secure their rights. One of the most talented players in the draft at the most important position dropped to round 5Very strange and baffling. I would love to know the inside story of what happened. One of the more bizarre sports stories that I've witnessed.
I'd definitely read the book on the inside story of it all if one is ever written.
yes. I did see that. It kind of makes you wonder if Sheduer presented himself as Johnny Manziel 2.0. A rich, spoiled prima Donna who rubbed everyone the wrong way. Add in that Deion would have been a problem as Deion has controlled his football career up until now.Did you see that quote from some exec, or insider of some kind that said Shedur's interview they did with him was the worst he had ever seen. Maybe teams simply didnt think he was a guy they wanted. If he didnt start, daddy Deion would be ut there talking crap.
So yes I listened to a bunch of clips and interviews were GMs were saying talking to Sheduer was “one of the worst interviews ever” and comments like that. I still think in the 5th round you draft him and he sits behind Dak and learns. If Daddy Deion doesn’t like that then why couldn’t Jerry, or any other owner, tell Deion to shut up. Unless the Cowboys come out and say Sheduer is a team cancer and doesn’t fit with what we want to do from a culture standpoint then we should have taken him. My opinion is a 5th round pick can be used on a spoiled brat if he has the talent and needs to be humbled. It’s worth the risk.
Or there’s another possibility is he sucks and he’s a product of being Deion’s son and teams don’t think he is a top QB or will develop into a franchise guy. Screw his attitude, there’s a real possibility that his talent level doesn’t match the hype because the hype was generated by Deion. So we’ll see the next couple years what happens and how it shakes it. I still wish we drafted him because I was stuck on him and I’m wondering if he’s being punished for being Deion’s son, or he sucks, or he’s not talented. Time will tell. I do feel better that we got Milton prior to the draft so we have a guy that would play Sander’s role on the team as far as sitting and learning. So it’s not a total loss. But I think if he’s a 1st round talent in the 5th round then you pull the trigger. So a lot to think about with this. Curious how it will play out.
