and that the Vikes have signed Hutchinson to a offer sheet and the Seahwaks have 7 days to match

HUTCHINSON SIGNS "MONSTER" OFFER SHEET IN MINNY



A league source tells us that the Minnesota Vikings have signed Seahawks guard Steve Hutchinson to a "monster" offer sheet.



The Seahawks placed the transition tag on Hutchinson, giving them the right to match any offers made by another team. They'll have seven days to decide. If they choose not to match, they receive no compensation.



Our guess is that the Vikings crafted an offer aimed at dissuading the Seahawks from matching, perhaps with a huge 2006 roster bonus due a day or two after the deal is signed.



If Hutchinson lands in Minnesota, he'll land between perennial Pro Bowler Matt Birk and budding Pro Bowler Bryant McKinnie.

You people are priceless. Everyone else is overspending and you want us to do it as well. Kosier was a good signing- someone who can back up 4 of 5 positions on the line and start at any of them is worth what we paid.
I am not going to wail and cry and rant and rave untill I see a good reason for it. I wanted Bentley but not at that price- though I would have been willing to come close. It was not a need spot- but he was a great pick up.
Randal L just got insane money- so did that DT Warren. I am GLAD that BP and JJ are NOT spending like that. Besides- the money they save here in FA could be used to lock up Roy, Witten for years to come- and that would be more important over the long haul.
