This is a little ridiculous. As if the guy doesn't have enough on his mind, now he has the league scrutinizing his every move. While I don't think he'll horse collar again, I wonder if the league ever sat Rodney Harrison down and said they'd be watching him closely seeing has how he's been voted the dirtiest player in the league by his peers on multiple occasions.

Its really NOT ridiculous.

The rule was created because of him.
He injured more than one player by horsecollar tackle.
He repeatedly continued to horsecollar tackle.
He repeatedly got passes after the rule was made.
He repeatedly got flagged for doing it.
He has now been fined.

HE SHOULD BE WATCHED.

I want to say that if he does it again that I will be shocked.... but I cant say that.... because I wont be.

Yes i realize its extremeskins, but look at the pictures.

1st, he aims for that part of the body.

2nd, he has hurt people

3rd, look how awkward people have to fall when they are tackled that way.

4th, maybe he should stop getting behind players from the other team...

That's just roy's kinda style , it don't mean though that the guy is a dirty player like most of you guys probably make it out to be.. ;)

Next horse collar on Roy and he's facing at least 4 games. After that a season. He refuses to play by the rules and is getting punished accordigly. Just Roy being Roy.

just so you know.....the league consulted the players, coaches, and even the owners before making the rule. they gathered all the input from the players, coaches and owners, then made the definitive decision.........

NO MORE HORSE COLLAR TACKLES.

This comes as no suprise and of course the severity of the penalties will continue to increase with every infraction.

I think you are taking away some of his instincts, but like Cornerbacks, Roy will have to adjust.

When Roy Williams returns to work Wednesday for the Dallas Cowboys he will do so with a sharp warning the Dallas Morning News reported.
The NFL, in a letter, told the Cowboys strong safety that increased discipline is possible if he commits another horse-collar tackle. Williams missed Saturday's game at Carolina because he was serving a one-game suspension after being penalized for an illegal horse-collar tackle.
If Williams is flagged again, he could receive a two-game suspension, including playoff games.

I love Roy but this is what he brought on himself and the league is making sure he knows if it happens again he will face multiple suspensions so he can't say he was not warned. My hope is he puts an end to the horse collar and goes out and plays the way I know he can play.
