Leary to have MRI on knee, Needs Scoped out 2-6 weeks

We will be ok, bring Waters in to play RG is a must at this point though... Let livings/Berny/Leary play LG, whoever is healthy at that time

can waters play LG??

That is what he played in KC, but with Leary expected back it would make sense to put Waters at RG and move Bernadeau to LG imo. If Bernadeau is going to be the backup he needs time at both positions anyway. He probably should work at center some too.

So let me get this straight we're really counting on a guy who was undrafted and spent the whole year on the practice squad..

So let me get this straight, the media and plenty of Cowboys fans (myself included) have condemned the team for not being able to develop and groom offensive linemen, and now that they've seemed to do positive things with Leary and his progression, they shouldn't count on him because he was undrafted? Do you happen to know Tony Romo or Miles Austin?

Can't have it both ways!

By the end of the year, the guarantee makes Zero difference between him and a 7th round pick.

Not if you don't make the active roster. That is what was unique about Leary's situation and the guarantee.

Yes because he was playing very well?

Or do you not care about how well a guy plays and instead only care about where/when he was drafted?

I'm saying next man up. Good teams are able to sustain injuries and move on. If losing this guy keeps us down. We're in trouble.

You know the situation is precarious when the season hinges on the health of the likes of Leary.

When he was drafted, I heard his career was going to be five years maximum because of his degenerative knee.

Hopefully, this isn't a sign that it's already in decline.

More reason to get Brian Waters in here.
I'm sorry are you talking about when Leary was drafted? What round was that because I was sure he want drafted and Jerry paid alot of money to get him here as an undrafted free agent

On talkin cowboys they talked about Leary at the beginning of the show if anyone wants to check it out. But Mickey mentioned how he was still moving around better than some of the other OL he saw him with. (Parnell, Bell, and Dominguez) Broaddus said he had a chip moving around in there and that it needed to come out so that it doesn't end up getting stuck in a worse spot.

Neither is Eatman, his article says they have not even been talking lately.

With the same information the guys on talkin cowboys portray it as the Cowboys have offered a contract and that he is expected to accept once they are back in Dallas. It's thought he doesn't want to go to camp in Cali (which is ending anyway) and wants to stay near his family which is why he turned New England down on the second season last year.

Sorry, that was a typo. I meant "At the time of the draft". Sorry.
