The kid came to a legitimate contender as the savior they needed to put them over the top. He was very young, from a small program, and was thrown into the fire with high expectations placed on him. Injuries set him back and the pressure only grew.

He may develop into the potential he is said to have, or he may not. Writing the kid off with all this in mind is foolish, though. Now he has the chance to develop without the pressure of a fan base expecting a polished, championship caliber QB to take them to the promised land at 23 years old.

Practically a no lose situation for us fans.

The guy has less than 500 career snaps between high school, college and NFL. He just wants a drama-free environment to develop into the best QB he can. He can’t get that in San Fran.

Let’s just leave him alone and let him develop this year and be excited to watch him in Preseason next summer. I believe he might be special, but he needs time
He had more than 500 snaps in college alone, not counting high school or NFL

he has the physical ability. he doesn't have the experience. it may take him a while to get there if he ever does. he is worth the 4th round (maybe just a pick to high, but oh well).
I hope for his sake he develops.

Know how yodeling came about?

Two German ladies gossiped over the second floor flower box windows every afternoon, across the street.

Well, one afternoon it got heated.

One lady yelled, 'well, you're an old lady.' The other lady retorted, 'well, you're an old lady too!'
:lmao2:

Dak lovers are so weird.
They don't want any competition for Dak, not now, not ever.
Keep Dak protected from competition, or else he may actually improve.
.
They're used to the mediocrity that is the last 25+ years.
wait. what!? Dak has been around for 25+ years. where have I been? was I sleep? why didn't anybody wake me up? was I in a coma? what the heck is going on around here? come on people you know better.

dang, 20 years of news to catch up on. I got a lot of reading to do.

I think he stays #3 for at least the next two seasons. Rush and Dak are both signed through 2024 and Lance needs that time for development.

He will either take over for Rush in 2025 or he’ll be finding a new team. If his development goes well, he could possibly be a starter here by 26 or 27….but Dak leaving before that won’t likely happen.
if he needs two years to take over Rush, then he is already a bust. why waste time.

Dak fans aren't going to leave him alone. They feel threatened. And they should be feeling that way
LOL. why would Dak fans be threatened? makes no sense. you know this is just football. entertainment. there is actual things to be threatened by.

you Bash Dak Over Dallas Cult have really weird mentality.

So, is he's this tender little snowflake that might get his feelings hurt, you think he'll become a hardened pro?
The way they were handling Lance's demotion in San Francisco gave me pause.
Coach and GM were effusive with praise with Lance's "class" and "work ethic."
It seemed almost comical the way they were tip-toeing around the apparently emotionally fragile Lance.

Bash Dak Over Dallas Cult
What a confusing spin..... does it mean people people bash Dak more than they do the team?

Weird.

By the way, Dak fans are threatened because they didn't want Jerry bringing in a QB who could possibly compete with Dak. But go ahead and claim this is "just football. entertainment". Read some of the posts from the past day or two- Dak fans are clearly threatened by this move. Me? I don't give a crap either way. The competition could be a good thing but everyone knows it won't happen.

Dak fans are very insecure.

They can’t help it.
I'm a Dak fan but I know that if he doesn't improve over the next couple of years and help us get over the hump in the playoffs, we can rest a bit easier because we just might have a very talented guy waiting in the wings learning from the QB whisper Fat Mike..

I Kinda 2nd this, he was 20 years old when drafted & was way too high. he's been in league 2 years had to injury seasons + not that many reps in High school and College. he's RAW very RAW. they need to let him work this year and next I'd NOT pick up his 5th year but resign him to a back up QB contract and see how he does.

realistically he needed to be drafted in 3rd or later not his fault everyone over hyped him and the 40Whinners over spent on him. lets give him some time, and NOT forget that Shannahan Jr. Sucks at picking QBs and developing them. his Offense is good but his QBs have always been average.

2007 - 2009 Matt Schaub JAG
2010 - 2013 McFlab & GrossMan (McFab was on his way out and Grossman sucked)
2014 Bryan Hoyer LESS THAN JAG
2015 - 2018 Matty ICE OK 1 good QB but he was there before he got there.
2017 - present Bryan Hoyer, Jimmy G, C.J betherd, Nick Mullens, Trey Lance, Brock Purdy, Josh Johnson

you can see he's got a track record of not developing QBs. He can get the best out of guys that are there but never develop any of them. Schaub was there before he got there, same with Mcflab to Matty Ice.

Oh and it was a 4th are you going to get a talent like this in this next years draft at the 32nd pic in the 4th round?

You’re usually more funny than this. Maybe you should take a break, refresh the material a bit.
So brodini, do you have any opinions about the Cowboys that don’t regard Dak Prescott? Or maybe, uh… life? Like life in general even?

What’s your favorite band? Or do you just not listen to music because Dak Prescott likely also listens to music? If you don’t, that’s cool, I’m not here to judge.
He is...? Lol His schtick is old and predictable.

He's an Eagles fan who hangs out on Kensington Ave. That tells us everything. Dak owns his team. 8-3 against his Eagles.

He called Dak a loser. Dak won The Walter Payton Award.

Tony Romo part two. But in reverse. Who ever thinks this move was bad, well, I guess I'll write some music.

A 4th round for this kid. Hell yes. He's going to be needed this season...while #4 calls the plays.
