I'm gonna stick with my opinion until proven otherwise.

But, for the record: I HOPE that Lebron James gets his ring and I'm rootin' for HIM. NOT CLEVELAND, but for HIM.

But this thing smacks of Micheal Jordan "early" all over again.............

You know what scares me the most for Lebron? The Lakers............

They were "Jekyl & Hyde" against Houston. But when they were Jekyl, they blew them out. When they decided to show up, it wasn't even worth watching. In fact, I didn't even T-VO the game during my daughters soccer game on Sunday, because I wasn't the only one who just knew that they were going to blow out Houston at home in game 7.

They also got Phil...................AND KOBE! Kobe, who many are not paying attention to in light of the LeBron "glow" right now. What some people need to get life about is that Kobe Bryant had every right to be the MVP that LeBron James did. Yeah, that's right.....Kobe had every bit the great year...........AGAIN............that James had.

Plus, Kobe and Jackson have been there before and know how to win a championship. Now that Boston is out of the way, I don't see any stopping these Lakers.

In "championship" scenerio's, I'll take Kobe over James any day. Like I said, I'm pullin' for James, but I got a gremlin on my shoulder telling me to "watch them Lakers" right about now...............

Dude, don't gauge the Lakers with them beating Houston..that team had no place playing in game 7. Rockets had no offense and the Lakers D is pathetic. The Nuggets will tear them to shreds with that high powered offense, if not, then LeBron will finish them off in 4. Lakers are extremely overrated and weak.

:laugh1: We'll see if you're singing the same tune a few weeks from now.

I think the Lakers are bringing out the brooms for the Nuggs, the series with Houston was a wake up call.

Ya I thought that too when they were down 29 points at Houston, then the same thing happened 2 games later:rolleyes: Please..the Lakers are trash and highly overrated. This is AT LEAST going to 7. Nuggets are unbeatable at home in the playoffs and the Lakers suck balls on the road. They better not lose game one or two or they will find themselves down 3-1 gaurenteed.

I think these two conference finals are going to be tough. They've got talent on all the teams and a couple of the teams have shown some real promise.

The Magic fighting back and beating out the defending champions was pretty impressive to me as well.

I don't really care who wins the whole thing as long as it's not the Lakers. I can't stand them or Kobe.

I'm rooting for Orlando so everyone can get over their obsession with Lebron and Kobe. Nuggets winning would be good too since I like Melo.

Slate, it's obvious not only by your posting, buy of course by your avatar and pastings that you're a big fan. And you should be. There's a lot there to be exited about, and nobody could call you crazy for being the right fan of the right guy and the right team at the right time......................

I'm a fan too. Actually, I'm a Sixer fan, but I'm blown-away by LeBron James just like so many are.

My thing is simply, "until proven otherwise" stuff. I just can't get past the fact that when Kobe and the Lakers had to step up, it wasn't even a contest. You can't turn your back on that in the NBA. It's a long season. How many times have we seen a team putz around during the regular season, struggle in the first round or two, and THEN start playing? I've seen it often enough to know it's certainly possible with this Laker team.

They've got as much, if not better talent than Cleveland, and certainly a championship pedigree coach that cannot be denied. I know I'm jumping the gun here, but if it IS indeed LA vs. Cleveland in the finals............I'd have to bet on the Lakers.

I think the Lakers will have an easier time dispatching of Denver than Cleveland will dispatching Orlando. I'm putting a lot of eggs in the "experience" basket. And with this final four, the Lakers, organization, coach and player(s) have got the experience in spades over the other three remaining teams.

Before the Bulls were the "Bulls", they were just "the Bulls"..before Jordan was "Jordan" he was just "Jordan"..make sense? lol..you have to start somewhere. LeBron can't get 3 rings this year, but he can get one and build from there. It takes time. And when his time is over he will have more rings than Jordan and be known as the best player to play the game. Just ask Jerry West lol. He'll echo my thoughts.

LeBron is still King..believe it or not Jordan and the Bulls actually lost playoff games too..didn't think they would lay down in the 2nd half though. oops.

I dont think they laid down, they just got beat. They hit some big shots but the Magic just kept coming. They were in it till the very end there.

Lebron is obviously a great player, I don't think anyone questions that.

Varajeo is so sick!! I don't know how you can hate on the guy..he plays hard and hustles. You need one of those guys on your team when you have a superstar.

So true. It keeps everyone energized. Also, when one guy has the ball far more than the normal share you need some selfless supporting players that don't lose focus and jsut stand around.

Varajeo is a flopper extraordinaire. I loved when he was on the court for 5 minutes holding his throat, rolling around and coughing like someone crushed his larynx and the replay showed no one hit his throat. I have ZERO love for floppers and actors in the playoffs. Flop your way through the season all you want, but when Lebron is bleeding and cramping and you're flying like superman everytime someone touches you, you gets no love. Sorry.

No need to appolgize :) I was referring to energy guys in general...that's why I bolded that comment.

As for the flopping.....It's that soccer, uh "football" mentality. Kind of funny to see some of those guys overreact to fouls.
