Led Zeppelin vs Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd. Easiest choice so far. The problem I have with Led Zeppelin is that each album had some great tracks...some of the greatest tracks in music history, no doubt...but the rest of the disc would be chaff. Also, Zep's music hasn't aged well to my ears. It just sounds 40 years old to me and I don't get that feeling at all with Pink Floyd (starting with DSotM, anyway).

Plus, Jimmy Page couldn't carry Gilmour's jock if he had a forklift to help him.

No disrespect to the man or the band intended...

I'm assuming you're more upset with the fact that they didn't pay royalties, as opposed to the fact that they covered a few blues tunes? Because there's a ton of great bands that have used cover songs to boost their careers.....Van Halen being the first one that comes to mind.

And to add to that... Can you really steal a blues song? It's mostly the same stuff to a point. The guys they "stole" from stole it form the guys before them.

I'd take Floyd, mostly because the Zeppelin guys are a bunch of jerks.

Last month I would have said Pink Floyd, but lately Ive been listening to a lot of Zeppelin. So Ill go with Led Zeppelin.

I look at it like this: You have to be in the mood for Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin puts you in the mood.

I was waffling on how to choose in this one until I read this post, which I believe kind of nails it.
