The Cowboys won their first game without linebacker Sean Lee in the lineup since 2014 on Thursday night and they don’t expect to have to make it two in a row when they face the Giants in Week 14.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan on Friday that the team expects to have Lee back for that game. He has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury.

“He’s feeling good,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “He’s doing everything possible to be ready to go. I feel good about him.”

Brad Sham was told if we had played this sunday that he would have played. So he will definitely play sunday at NY.

This won't sit well with people.

Keep him on the bench against the Giants. Give him another week to rest. We've seen this before where we rush a guy back with a leg injury and he reinjures it.

If they can't beat the Giants without Sean Lee, then this season is just a fruitless exercise anyway. If you want a real shot at beating Seattle and Oakland and Philly, you need a completely healthy Lee. Sit him against the Giants and give him that extra week of rest.

When you healthy, you play.........that just me

I get what you're saying but if he can play then play him. There are no gimme games in the NFL so you gotta give yourself the best chance to win

There's the issue. Is he really "healthy"? Awuzie was "healthy" weeks ago when they brought him back and presto, there he went again out with a re-aggravated hamstring.

Hamstrings are tricky things and I don't trust this organization to do the smart thing. I think they'd most certainly run a 90% Lee out there (no doubt Lee would want to play) and I think that's a bad idea.

But are they really rushing him back though?

He went out during the Atlanta game, which was on November 12th....by the time we take the field on December 10th it will be damn near a month. That's a pretty decent recovery time, I think.

If they WERE going to rush him back, it would've been last night with the season essentially on the line. But, I think if he plays next game it's because he's ready to go, not because he's being rushed.

If they didn't feel the need to "rush him back" last night they aren't rushing him back against a disastrous Giants team.

How many weeks did Awuzie sit? Multiple ones and when he would come back, he was limited or re-aggravated it. Plus as noted above, if the game was Sunday they would have tried to let him play. The fact they wouldn't let him play 3 days earlier tells me that he might not be 100%.

I won't budge on this. Give him an extra week and make sure he's 100%. The Giants suck and are playing Smith at QB. If you need Lee to win that game, you suck more than you realize.

Hey, if that's how you feel, then that's how you feel.

I just think that IF he plays next week it's because he's ready to go....and when injured players are ready to go, you play them.

brad said he was told he was ready to go this week if they played on sunday. So Another 10 days means there is no reason not to play him next week.

Cant compare different players injuries/healing, different players, different situations entirely.
Lee is a senior vet stud,,, he will always play full throttle, that's what you get, great play, but increased injury risk.
If Lee says he is ready, than he is ready... all games, every game, is important at this point.

Time to roll with the best personnel you have available, 100 percent or not.

So he couldn't play Thursday, but could play Sunday? Yeah, that tells me he's still not 100% right now.

Shut him down for the next 10 days, no practice, then he can get back on the field after the Giants. I'd be more inclined to let him play if we were playing the Eagles or Seahawks next weekend.

I am not really comparing players. Just pointing out that saying "a month is enough time to heal" isn't necessarily an accurate statement when dealing with hamstrings.

I get ya,
but all I'm saying is that Lee will play when Lee says he will.
No staff will block his decision at this point.

by not playing him last night they are doing exactly what you are asking them to do except they held him out last night even though he probably could have played...they decided to give him the extra time to heal and be 100% for December.

think awuzie sat longer.
corner animals (coaches) take risks.
if he reaggravates it, they have all off-season.

If he reaggravates it, he's done for Seattle, Oakland and Philly most likely when you would need him the most if you are thinking you can still make a playoff push.

It's not worth the risk IMO especially when you are playing an awful Giants team that is beat up on offense.
