This pick sort of flies under the radar. Besides the fact that he seems like a bright, young leader I don't know much about this player.

What will his role be this year and what kind of player was he in college?

What kind of player do you think he'll be in the future?

I love this pick and the Dez hype tends to overshadow the brilliance with this pick. So we need some hype about this guy.

The one thing I see about Lee is he is very physical and I think he's twice the player B. Carpenter is.

Let's hear your Lee hype (or gripe if you choose).

Ok. I'll start: I love the guy's attitude. He's got great footwork at the ILB position, and you can just tell he's going to make plays. Downside is, he looks like a big safety and has chicken legs.

I like Lee. I like smart guys at LB who can see what the offense is doing and diagnose the player before the snap of the ball and make the call for the front 7. He plays the game with passion and will give you everything he has on every play. I don’t see him as the biggest, the fastest or strongest LB out there he just goes out and plays tough play in and play out

I really like smart players, he just needs to bulk up a bit and get stronger.

I like the fact he played corner some in highschool. He has experience covering guys in space.

He not just enormous right now but he isn't to far off from being Brookings size.

By the time he fully develops his so called lack of size wont be an issue.

I agree. Pretty common for many kids coming out of college into the NFL.

He's just a great human. He makes Tedy Bruschi look like Teddy Ruxspin.

Chicken legs? Wade said that was a strength of his, that he has really strong legs. And of course that's what you play football with, despite everyone's love of the bench press.

Almost twins. :laugh2:

I liked the pick of Lee on draft day and like it even more so today. You run the 3-4 LB become very important and with James entering his 8th year and Brooking his 13 year I think it was a smart move getting Lee.

Maybe they're strong chicken legs. But his body type just looks like a safety who's beefed up a bit. Looking at the pic of him in action at DC.com:

It makes you wonder how he could have outgrown his old brace with those pins he's rolling on.

I love this pick but do not feel the need to defend it. It will not take long for Cowboys fans to see the type of player Lee will be.

I sort of agree, he doesn't really look the part but I'm willing to wait till he's in pads.

The knee worries me a little.

I knew the Cowboys loved the kid, I wasn't at all surprised by the pick and I was just as excited when we picked Lee.

They made it three for three with the AOA pick.

I haven't been this happy following a draft in some time.

I think he's a great leader as well, SP. I watched some film of him on the sidelines in college and he's a dedicated S.O.B. He may not be great from day one, but with that attitude (which we don't see from Bobbie) he'll develop quickly. Determined, driven, confident, gifted, strong, athletic, well-coached...he's got the whole package. The dude is a stud and a potential pro bowler in the near future, imo. His charisma will get him a long way.

Love the Lee pick, and twice is an understatement more like 3.5* the player. In 4-5 years Lee will be one of the main lockerroom leaders anda great player.

From memory, Lee was probably the top performer at last summer's Lift for Life at PSU (a charity event that is probably the hardest workout they get over the summer). There is youtube footage. Search for "lift for life sean lee" or maybe this will work (posting from phone so forgive any typos): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJCE7_-fgyw.

Edit: Lee was actually the top performer on the whole team for the leg press (150 reps). That includes the lineman. This was coming off his knee injury, too (I expect he had plenty of practice with the leg press through rehab). I'm not worried about his lower body strength.

Ditto. The kid has even outgrown his custom fitted knee brace.
