Lee + Hitchens = Hope

these guys on the field together all the time (please get jaylon off) I think makes a big difference. Irving looked good.

Hope you're right... we have a lot of catching up to do and will need to go 9-2 or 8-3 minimum to make any noise down the stretch.

mr vlad----i totally 1000% agree ..the fact that Jaylon can even play is a miracle...but he is a liability and all defensive coordinators know it

It's not Jaylon's fault these two haven't been on the field at the same time. He's not ready, and shouldn't be out there so much, but he didn't create that situation.

To be clear, I agree. I think it's bs what they're putting this kid through...it's like they want to break his optimism, lol I just didn't want to distract with a coach thread

vlad ya man Irving 2 sacks and Lawrence got 1 too...tank is leading league with 8.5 after five games..and honestly should have 1.5 more if not for being ripped off in my opinion

mr Hawk----if coaching had not left Lee to play every snap in Arizona game ( 79 i think ) in that hot weather...and it was not until like snap 70 that his hamstring became an issue...we would have had him for the last two games we lost...and this is not an over exaggeration...if Lee played against rams and packers we win both of those...cause we got so gashed in the run game against both and we only lost by 5 and 4 points....mic drop

That would be fine and dandy if Sean "Charmin soft" Lee could manage to play more than a game or two without hurting something.

Not hating on Lee, he is a stud, but dude is made of glass to the point they even put an injury clause in his contract.

Maybe they can coach up Woods in the bye week and he can take over for Heath full time.

Getting Jaylon and Heath off the field has to be an improvement no matter how terrible their replacements are.

Maybe. We weren't exactly impressive the last time Lee was on the field - I doubt Hitchens adds much. But it has to be an improvement over the Smith + Hitchens combo.

Is there another player named Hitchens that we have?

Because for as much crap as Smith took in the Packers game, Hitchens was barely better, if at all.

That because they played him at WILL to compensate for Lee being injured. He’s not a WILL he’s a MIKE

They gave him reps to get comfortable. He's a rookie. He can't be broken.....or doesn't seem like the type to. Playing time for him was positive....but now with Lee and Hitchens he can get less reps and still learn on the go. I don't blame Jaylon for guys being injured.

We had huge leads in both games and Lee in coverage is >>>>> Jaylon for sure.

Saying we definitely beat GB with Lee out there is stretching it I think. We would definitely have had a better chance... but Rodgers owns Marinelli right now and he regularly makes pro bowl players like Lee look silly

Not only that but I didn't think he was terrible yesterday especially for his first game back.

He was pretty bad.

For example, that long run that was the longest for the Packers last year was all Hitchens. He overran the play and took himself right out of being in position to make a stop.

Other than a pass deflection, he was blah all game long. Hitchens is what he is, a nice, situational, back up type LB. This notion that he "fixes" things at MLB is a reach.
