Left-handed people

lefty here,i sometimes get mad because everything around us is designed only for right handers starting with all the stuff in your home and everything in your car.

I hated spiral notebooks and writing with ink growing up. Always smearing the ink and having to crook your hand up over the damn spiral part.

My poor daughter is starting to exhibit left handed tendencies. Poor thing.

You guys should form an interest group and demand the same rights as right-handed folks. Storm a few community centers, protest outside of the Capitol, that sort of thing. :D

I write right-handed, but I've used my left-hand as my primary hand in many areas of my life. In most sports I have played, I was ambidextrous and in some cases, better with my left-hand than my right. In baseball for example, I rarely ever struck out left-handed and hit for more power left-handed. Enough so that my coaches got irritated if I lined up to bat right-handed.

The only thing I don't do left-handed is write but that's because I never really tried to do it. Back when I was growing up, the teachers seemed to push everyone to use their right hand. I didn't realize it then but I did later on. Of course I've always been a very literal person even at a young age so it is quite possible a teacher would say, "Put the pencil in your right hand and write..." and I literally followed her instructions.

I have to admit, I would have been shocked at anything different.

I'm right handed but I also do a lot of things left handed. I shoot left in hockey, bat left in baseball, if I were to golf, it would be left handed, I pour left, carry most things left handed, but I cut food right handed.

To the OP, have you ever been SF and gone to the Left Handed store at Pier 38?

Lefties are mutants and should be at the very least contained so that they cease to infect society with their perversions.

Why didn't you flip it over and write on it with the spiral to the right?

I tried that once.

It doesn't look right. I didn't like that. When you tore out a sheet the fluff was on the wrong side.

Lefty here as well. My mom tells me she tried everything to get me to write with my right hand but I refused.......:D. It was (and may still be) considered bad to be left handed in India where I was born.

You and I are complete opposite.

I eat and write with right and everything else left handed, lol

It's interesting though because I have no idea why we do this or how we became to use a hand for only two events and rest with a opposite hand.

This may be a dumb question, do Left handed people use the computer mouse with their left hand?
