Last season Garrard played down the stretch against Arizona, Cleveland, Indy, San Fran, Houston and Tennessee. In those games he started 5 of them going 4-1 with the one loss against Indy. He didn't play lights out, but he didn't turn the ball over. He passed for 4 TDs, ran for 3 TDs, threw 1 Int, fumbled 4 times losing only 1.

As was mentioned, Leftwich is injured.

Well, one report I heard said Leftwich said he was fine and his ankle didn't hamper his performance but that the coaches said it did. That sounded kind of odd to me.

This is an interesting situation for J'ville. Garrard is a gamer and seems to always play well when called upon. Last year he was very instrumental in their playoff run and then when the playoffs came against NE he went to the sidelines and Lefty played in his first game back. I was pulling for the Jags against NE and Lefty had a bad game. I thought at the time that if I was a real Jags fan I would want Garrard playing in that playoff game.

I actually believe, as crazy as some may think this sounds, that Garrard is the better QB of the two. He doesn't have the size and pure throwing ability of Lefty, but he's a winner.

He also said the same thing when he was playing with a broken bone while in Marshall.

That started during the game when he came back after the injury and famous scene of his O-Line carrying him down the field.

He played through the rest of the games with that same injury without ever admitting his injury was serious until afterwards.
