It's off the topic a bit, but they need to lower the legal drinking age to 18. It is absolutely stupid to me that we allow an 18 year old to vote, get married, have children, and go to war to possibly die for their country, but tell them they cannot have a beer.

I don't get it, and I don't drink and never have.
Won't ever happen, because the studies showed after it was raised that it saved a significant number of lives from drunk driving accidents. The equation becomes, we can give people the ability to drink, but it costs X number of lives.

I totally agree, and plus, its not like almost every single 18 year old doesnt know a 21 year old or know someone that does that can get them alcohol.

It doesnt really stop anybody. Only stops them from going to bars/clubs.

Either raise the voting age and when you can go to war, etc or drop the drinking age to 18. Anything else is totally hypocritical.

Lowering the drinking age sounds good to me.

On another note, I see no issues with him swimming with drunken ladies in his own pool.

On still another note, he shouldn't be wrapping his lips around anything directly connected to another man's johnson.

I understand both sides to this and I for 1 am all for lowering the drinking age - look overseas where the drinking age is 18 and you'll find lower alcohol related deaths, lower alcoholic rate, etc etc - when you take the "taboo" out of the equation kids wont be so entralled with drinking

At the same time I understand the point that if you lower the drinking age it will cost you X amount of lives (due to DWI accidents) but think about how many more lives are lost due to war - I think if the government was so concerned with how many lives we could save they would increase the military age to 21.

To me everything should be equal - if you can smoke, marry, drive, vote, fight for the country than you sure as **** should be able to drink

Could you imaginge getting married at 18 and not being allowed (legally) to drink at your own wedding?

This country is full of too many double standards
