I just read that the Giants are bringing him in, how is this guy still available? Asking for too much money? Or is there something else going on? I cant seem to find a reason why we wouldnt bring him in, especially with our issues on the back end.

He is returning from an injury and is not ready to play yet at least he wasn't in the spring.

btw what problems do we have on the backend? We seem to be pretty set in the secondary for this season if scandrick and claiborne stay healthy.

I would have liked Leon Hall, if fully healthy, but there is nothing he can do at this point to say our secondary is improved by signing him.
Give this a few weeks in TC first. See what we have in a few young players, as well as the vets since we have Scandrick back.

Who would he be an upgrade over? With Scandrick back and mo playing like a man possessed we don't really have issues on the back end

Leon Hall visited the Cowboys in March, once they saw him they were not interested anymore.

Hall is not better than Scandrick, Carr, Claiborne, or probably the rookie.

Well for starters, Claiborne hasn't proven yet that he's a good CB. Hall is a very good slot CB and would allow you to leave Scandrick outside. It appears now that when they go nickle and have 3 CBs on the field, Scandrick will move into the slot.

Just because we have "bodies" in the secondary doesn't mean they are any good. Claiborne has a ton to still prove and time is running out.

Gaines are bring him in bc they don't have any slot corners. Apple, Rodgers-Cromarti, and Jenkins are all better suited outside.

:omg:

How many corners do the Giants need? Did a CB get hurt for them or something?

we have what appears to be a very good group to me.
Well with Scandrick and Jones in his real position and getting better, it isn't as bad as last year, but, I mean we are going to give up some huge TDs in the air this year.

We like who we have at corner. - Jerry Jones

I didn't think the Giants had any money left to spend after the boatload of money they spent in free agency.

Yep...they were like:

If Cowboys are looking at vets, then would rather sign guys like Antonio Cromartie and Chris Culliver. Both have warts (age, injuries, behavior, etc.) but these warts should bring their cost down and both have been more productive and are better ball hawks than either Carr or Mo.
