les paul guitar on pawn stars tonight

The people never get what they could if they sold it privately and it seems a little ridiculous. Really...a Les Paul and all that paperwork...to a pawn shop?!

Selling privately takes a lot of work. Then what happens is it goes to auction where it can go for a price lower than what Rick and company were offering, not to mention the fees associated with it.

I think people sell stuff like this to Rick and company mostly out of convenience.

heh It's a Les Paul, yet it's actually an SG. Gotta say, I love Humbuckers, but three of them? I'll pass thank you.

That is a hideous looking guitar.

The gibson SG is one of the only gibson's that I have played that I like the feel of...however I am with you, the three humbucker look just does not do it for me. Stick with the two.

I had 5 once in a 1980s Schecter, with one in the middle. I normally like a heavy axe, so the SGs are way to frail for me. And tone-wise, they don't work for my style. And I gotta say, that thing screamed. I wish I never sold that Schecter guitar. It's worth around 3k nowadays. Man, it was pretty too.

I liked it. It was like a standard set up, but with one in the middle. It had humbuckers and single coils.

Mine was black, and it had one in the middle, two on the the bridge and neck. It was very similar to this one, which I think has nice tone.

5 positions on the tone switch and a tone knob....

Oh, I thought you were saying it had 5 humbuckers in it! :laugh2:

I wasn't sure how you could get all those to fit! :lmao2:

My Ibanez is setup with HSH with 5 pickup positional switch (neck, neck+single, single, single+bridge, and bridge)and my Les Paul is H-H setup with three positional switch. (neck, neck+bridge, and bridge)

On the Les Paul, it has it's own volume and tone control for each pickup. The Ibanez only has one volume and one tone control for all of them.

I'm same as you. I almost can't justify having so many guitars. I'm hoping someday I get to give on to my future offspring or something. :)

In any case, I have a similar set up on my current Schecter (C-1 Classic) as your Ibanez.

On my PRS I have some wacky customized pickups that were made by Ted McCarty. The tone knob doesn't change the tone, it changes the magnetic frequency around the pick up. To change from SC to HB, you can pop the switch. Here is the man himself talking about it.
