the defensive performance was very surprising. in the first half we gave up 180+ rushing yards. multiple long plays. I heard 6 20+ yard plays. this is not a dominant defense.

A lot of fans were fooled based on the two less than stellar opponents we played. This team looks no different than previous teams we’ve had that ended up disappointing us in the end. I’m still not convinced we’re going to make the playoffs. We have some very good teams coming up and the losses could start to mount as the season progresses. We have issues on both sides of the ball and we continue to struggle handling success. The Cowboys can’t seem to stay focused and motivated for very long. It doesn’t take much for the team to become overconfident and full of themselves.

This game is precisely why I picked the 'Boys to go 9-8 & not 12-5 or 13-4 like so many here thought.
This organization does not really have the killer instinct some other teams do. And it starts all the way at the top. Most of us know this. Really.
The Giants were an over-rated team by the media and the Jets lost all hope when Rodgers went down. And the when the 'Boys ran into a truly motivated team we saw what they really are.
I'll stick with my 9-8 - miss the playoffs prediction.

Average to good QB. Mediocre HC/OC. Good DC but his defense can be exploited by physical teams.

All that adds up to a good, not great team that can win some games, maybe even a big regular season game or two, but then will falter early in the playoffs when the talent levels and the physical play ratchet up and you need to rely on really good QB play and coaching.

Pretty much the same team of the last 6-7 years...which is sad. A team with an 8-9 win floor that might end up stealing a few more wins if things go their way. But there's no true "building" going on. It's just same players or new versions of those players who replace them but in the end, the results are the same. They will either barely miss out on the playoffs or make a wildcard game and maybe win but won't be good enough to go further.

Hell eagles last year barely beat the colts by one point, got blown out by washington, and shut down by the saints.

We certainly weren’t good today. But come on man, there’s 14 games left. There are zero gimmes in the NFL. If you’re not amped and ready every week, any team can beat you.
