Let’s face it. We’re not that good

A lot of fans were fooled based on the two less than stellar opponents we played. This team looks no different than previous teams we’ve had that ended up disappointing us in the end. I’m still not convinced we’re going to make the playoffs. We have some very good teams coming up and the losses could start to mount as the season progresses. We have issues on both sides of the ball and we continue to struggle handling success. The Cowboys can’t seem to stay focused and motivated for very long. It doesn’t take much for the team to become overconfident and full of themselves.
This has a 2019 feel to it. In 2019 we blew out the first 3 teams. Then after that we didn’t make the playoffs. Next week will be a telling game of who we are. I’m not too optimistic.

We usually always lose one terrible game guaranteed each season, it happens.

Hell eagles last year barely beat the colts by one point, got blown out by washington, and shut down by the saints.

Thankfully this wakeup call came early and theres time to change it

Its funny how much the forum blows up when we lose

Two wins vs. middling teams were a mirage.

One loss vs. a middling team is the real thing.

Can't argue with this logic.
And we don’t even know yet which teams are really good and who isn’t. Other than maybe the chiefs. Cracks me up how so many can go from “SB here we come to we suck”…after one game, LOL! Yes we sucked today. But we have 14 more.

We certainly weren’t good today. But come on man, there’s 14 games left. There are zero gimmes in the NFL. If you’re not amped and ready every week, any team can beat you.

An ongoing problem for this team is being mentally soft. Gotta get tougher.
An ongoing problem for us, for many years and many coaches, is we can’t handle success. We get too high on ourselves. Maybe this game is a humbling experience and we come out the rest of the season as playing like contenders. Or this game is who we really are. Regardless, we don’t do well with being successful. We lose focus. And this has been a problem since Romo took over.

Next week won’t tell us much. Usually when we lay an egg against a bad team will follow it up with an impressive win. The telling games will be against the contending teams, San Francisco, Philly and Buffalo.

Exactly. I have been a fan long enough that today's loss kind of gets shrugged off. Of course I am not pleased. But there is a ton of football left to be played.

This was just a bad game. I think we all knew it was coming. Just a question of when.

True….who’s been running this organization with this ongoing problem all these years? ;)

The problem is, the schedule is brutal. This was a game that was needed as it gets tougher

Pats are playing well
49ers may be the best team in football
Chargers are explosive

We went from probably going into the bye week at 6-1 to hopefully 3-3

Don’t disagree. But all NFL games are tough. 100% of them.

I remember what happened a couple of years ago when this team was flying high then got humiliated by the sorry Broncos. It went downhill fast after that. Hope this doesn’t happen but this seems like an eerily similar game where they got exposed.

Pretty much the same team of the last 6-7 years...which is sad. A team with an 8-9 win floor that might end up stealing a few more wins if things go their way. But there's no true "building" going on. It's just same players or new versions of those players who replace them but in the end, the results are the same. They will either barely miss out on the playoffs or make a wildcard game and maybe win but won't be good enough to go further.
Nobody planned on the drop in value at the CB position when Diggs went down. I mean, we still have Gilmore but I think he was here relying on Diggs to Stat healthy. That makes his life much easier.

Can’t bd mad. I don’t think we are a top team. Maybe lucky to get wild card but we got tough schedule and lot injuries so even that will be hard. Is what it is.
The problem is the same one every year. We are a top heavy team with lots of stars and no positional depth. We see it every year in the preseason where other teams scrubs beat up our scrubs. So, as soon as we get a few injuries, the team falls apart. I get the offense missing 2-3 OL starters being a problem but there was no excuse for the defense to give up 200+ yards rushing to a Josh Dobbs lead offense. We know they can’t pass the ball.
