guess those things didn’t apply last year?
Point taken. Really.
But I see 9 very tough games on the schedule. Teams that very well could be tougher than the Cardinals.
Believe me, I want to see the 'Boys do better than today. Like deep into the playoffs.
But after today I'm not seeing it.
Hope I'm wrong.

This is a good team. Nothing wrong with that. But it isnt on the elite level of teams. A hard place to get to.
It takes some luck in the draft. Finding a Mahomes,Rodgers etc in the draft. Or finding a coach that can still win with with a Brock Purdy or Jalen Hurts type. Or hitting the jackpot and landing an elite coach like Reid and an elite generational QB at the same time.
We had it briefly with JJ and Aikman. And for a while with Landry and Staubach. I consider myself lucky to have been around for both of those moments in time. I’ll probably never see that again in my lifetime. But such is the life of a sports fan.
So I’ll enjoy the wins that do come. Get mad for a minute or two at the losses like today. And continue to hope that some lucky breaks will fall our way and we’ll get one more fluky magical season before I shuffle off this mortal coil.
You nailed it buddy! I’ve been following this team since The Ice Bowl and I’m very blessed to have been around for all 5 SB wins!
You expressed my sentiments exactly.

60% of our oline starters were out, refs were against us, and Dak didn't play that good, neither did the defense.

There are 16 games on the Cowboys regular season schedule tougher than the Cardinals. That includes week 1 and 2.

T Swift is going to be Kelce’s Jessica Simpson.
And Kelce took her leftist mantra and now is promoting a multibillion dollar industry, he had to shut off comments. Pretty sure the owners of this site get some residuals as well, so much for free speech.

Jekyll and Hyde has returned from last season…..I was starting to get worried that they might actually be consistent this season and not return to form.…..crisis averted

be get snookered every year with the hype train, then we settle back down to reality with a loss like this kind. We are soft and were disinterested much of the game. I saw mass confusion defensively. When u play confused, u get beat. Thats on Dan Quinn.

We certainly weren’t good today. But come on man, there’s 14 games left. There are zero gimmes in the NFL. If you’re not amped and ready every week, any team can beat you.

An ongoing problem for this team is being mentally soft. Gotta get tougher.
the same issue we have had 27 years running. Its an 0ld hat and I hate even bringing it up but its a big issue. I agree. Mentally soft and disinterested at times. I put this loss on Quinn and the defense actually. They put Dak and the offense in a bad bind.

Some of you can sugar coat this loss all you want if that makes you feel better. This was team that a contender should have beat handily. They’re in tank mode for new QB with a back up that has never won a game till today.

One big distraction that probably won’t help his career.

And we don’t even know yet which teams are really good and who isn’t. Other than maybe the chiefs. Cracks me up how so many can go from “SB here we come to we suck”…after one game, LOL! Yes we sucked today. But we have 14 more.
It takes about four or five games into the season for a team to establish their identity. However, what we saw today looks very similar to the Cowboys teams we’ve seen the last few years. A lot of penalties and playing down to their opponent. Hard to believe this season will end up any differently than previous seasons.

Can’t bd mad. I don’t think we are a top team. Maybe lucky to get wild card but we got tough schedule and lot injuries so even that will be hard. Is what it is.
The Cowboys are the Colorado Buffaloes of the NFL.

Our ceiling is what we've been the last two years but I expected this Texas Coast Offense nonsense to be a complete flop and a long running joke in the future and these first 3 games hasn't convinced me any differently.

You had a guy who gave you the 2nd most productive offense in the league while he was here. With Dak Prescott as his QB. Nothing needed fixing. He vastly overachieved.

But since we needed an offseason scapegoat we decided to pretend the offensive coordinator was the problem and we needed to change the offense toward a short passing attack that relief heavily on a QB's mechanics and his ability to make quick, accurate anticipatory throws.

With Dak Prescott as our QB.

This would be McCarthy's best coaching job of his career if he can get this team back to 12 wins and the divisional round of the playoffs.
It was the most productive Red Zone offense in 2022... in case you mised it
