Every time aikman announces for one of our games, I laugh uncontrollably.

The man hates Dallas so much, yet he was our guy in the 90’s.

I mean seriously, every time Dallas got a first down or made a good play I would hear, “that was nice, but…” or “and you see here, I mean it was a great throw but the timing was awful”

Kind of a laughing stock if you ask me. Stephen A Smith likes us more than Aikman! I understand him being less than happy about how it all ended with Johnson, and their downfall etc, but come on.

What do you think his issue is?
Remember when Dallas beat Philly last game of the season and then beat them again the next week in the playoffs? They destroyed Philly in the last game but Aikman did nothing but praise Philly the entire game. Thats where I finally started to dislike him a bit. Its a shame. i dont know if he has something against Jones or he is over compensating for fear of looking like a homer (and not being smart enough to see how transparent it is) or a combination of both. Its really a shame/

I think the guy is a professional announcer who takes his emotions out of the game when he is in the booth. Just because he isn't a Michael Irvin type doesn't mean he does or doesn't still love the Cowboys. Honestly, I think he calls a pretty good game, and there was plenty last night worthing calling the Cowboys out on.
I think it's more like he wants the Cowboys to be good and so he is more critical of them than other teams. We don't need another salesman for the Cowboys -- I think he is just blunt about what is working and what isn't. He complements Dak when he makes a good play, and he is critical when he doesn't.

Aikman might be one of the very few people affiliated with the NFL who 1) has had unquestioned success and 2) needs absolutely nothing from Jerry Jones. Aikman is in a position where he can be objective because of his reputation and has a number things outside of broadcasting going for him.

What Troy has done is be a little over critical of Dallas to show he's not a homer.

I love Michael Irvin like he's family but the dude has zero credibility as an analyst because of his unconditional love for the Cowboys. Troy doesn't want that to happen to him.

Trust me when I tell you this. If Troy ever works a Cowboys Super Bowl win he will be fist pumping under the desk.

Troy's a professional. Michael isn't.

I disagree.

He is often boring, but I don't see an obvious bias.

A sports broadcaster’s first goal is to be fair and accurate. It amazes me how many fans rip Troy for not being “loyal” during a broadcast. He’s not being paid to be a cheerleader.

If a Cowboys fan wants the cheerleader presentation of a Cowboys game, listen to the flagship radio broadcast. Brad Sham and Babe Laufenberg are mostly professional in their presentation but it’s definitely “pro Cowboys”. Troy is being paid to be fair not pro anyone.

Think the Networks who butter his bread want him and that puke face Buck to create Dallas drama.

I suspect he might have been hungover. At one point even Joe Buck jokingly said "what's going on with you tonight Troy?" to which Troy responded "oh you know, it's been that kinda week".

They panned to Jimmy Johnson and Michael Irvin during the game. I find it hard they wouldn't meet up if they were all in town. I'm betting they got together and reminisced over a few too many Eight Elite Lagers.
Actually, he was likely worn out from the legal trouble his girlfriend got into last week. Once he said, "it's been that kind of week". Apparently she "stole" $4000 worth of clothing, etc. by using employee discounts illegally.

He seems off on the broadcast. I cant put my finger on it but something about the way he delivers his points etc. He just seems off
I thought the same tbh. He seems cloudy and not able to articulate his thoughts very well compared to years past.

Not trashing him, just hope he's okay personally.
