Ok 1st of all I want to say you guys complaining about our offensive playcalling as a whole for the entire year dont know what they are talking about.

We have 2 1000 yard receivers, over 1600 yards soon to be 1700 yards rushing, a TE with 700 yards receiving who wasnt even used in the 1st 6 games, and our 3rd receiver has over 500 yards.

Our offense is at the top of every single offensive category out there.

Our offensive playcalling is great... Not good... but great.

It was horrible yesterday though and I wont deny that, and theyve made a few bad calls this year but guess what? EVERY TEAM DOES.

Nobody calls a perfect game week in week out.

So offense isnt the problem, quit crying about Sean Payton being gone because this offense still has produced and produced BIG.

Our WR leads the league in TD's and our RB is in the top 3 in the league for TD's.

It produces big... Not a little but big....

----------------------------------

Now to the defense......

Fire Mike Zimmer. Its so obvious.

We dont attack teams, they attack us.

Every December our defense falls off.

All you guys wanting to blame this defense on Parcells need to can it.

Zimmers defenses were the same way before Parcells ever got here.

We dont put anyone in position to succeed on that side of the ball.

We have no pass rush, we never stunt with our line or anything its always the same.

We dont confuse QB's at all because on each play they know what they are getting.

Roy Williams is one of the best players in this league if used correctly.

Marcus Spears is an athletic dude. I wouldnt be able to tell by how he plays on the field.

Our defense screws up the offense because they could be starting at the 10 yard line and they will at least get it to the 50, then punt, and tottally change the field position.

Our defense just screws everything up and im sick of it.

Zimmers got to go.

The results have been good no doubt, but let me ask you one question, is it because of the playcalling or is it the weapons we have on offense.

Do we really fool anybody, or is it just that we have been executing?

I agree our defense is the problem there so don't get me wrong about that.

We do not use our RB's in the passing game at all. That was a key to our championship teams in the 90's even when we had Irvin and Harper and Novacek. It just keeps teams off- balanced.

We fool people and execute.

Our offensive line was thought of as bad and I personally think its AVG at best.

I dont know many people out there that could call plays that produce like this one does in both the Running and Passing game with bad playcalling.

We had an O line in the early nineties that allowed our RBs to get in the passing game. While Romo doesn't seem to need all the protection in the world I think Parcells is trying to do it any way.

correct me if I'm wrong but is Parcells not the reason Zimmer is still here? If Zimmer is the problem then Parcells needed to fix it.

I know as a supervisor if my employees are not getting the job done I'm the first person in line to get egg on the face and I'm also expected to correct it. If I don't I deserve to lose my job as well.

Part of the problem is with the Offense. Here's how I see it:

QB- Romo is a keeper
RB - Barber is a good position RB; I'm done watching Jones. He doesn't have it
WR - Glenn & Crayton are good. I really like TO, but I can't have the *****ing with dropped balls.
OL - Sorry, but the OL is just ok. In both the Eagles & NO games, our OL was exposed.
TE - No issues here.

Bottom line, I don't think our OL is that good. They don't run block as well as they should. Jones is an issue. He hasn't done it for me since the first year. I keep expecting more, but it never happens. I want to support TO, but I don't want to hear how he's upset, blah blah blah. Hey TO, catch the ball!!!!

The offense is not a part of the problem. They had a bad game yesterday but they are a really really good offense.

The defense is just screwing everything up.

We cant hold onto field position or anything. Even if the other team gets the ball at the 1 yard line they will at least get to the 40 and punt it the other direction and we will start within the 20.

Our defense screws everything up.

I would agree with you except for the fact that they do not protect the QB very well at all. Romo is just making up for it.

Besides the play calling (several times a game) I never thought the offense was much of a problem and maybe I was not paying attention to those who did. To me it seems most of the anger is directed towards the defense.

I agree with you on the Defense. Our defense is pathetic. Alot of time has gone into building this defense, including a lot of draft picks. THere is no doubt in my mind that a change at the DC is required. I believe the talent is there. This defense has played well at times this year. I don't believe we lack talent, but what we do lack is a creative mind at DC. How can teams like the Eagles, continue to blitz everyone and still manager to get player free to the QB, and don't get burned. Why can't the Cowboys do this? Defensive schemes make average players look good. Our schemes make good players look average.

Dude over the past few years I gave up on the chicken and egg theory about Pass rush vs Coverage.

Pass rush is far far far far far far far far more important in the NFL than coverage.

Maybe not in College but in the NFL these guys throwing the ball are to good and any one of them can kill you any given Sunday if you give them all day to throw.

When we used to have this debate I thought of great coverage being = to a great pass rush.

Give me a great pass rush over great coverage any day of the week.

Newman vs Suggs though was different and i'd still take Newman because I thought he was the better player and still do.

But as far as our pass rush vs coverage debates its not even close.

Just go get the stinkin Quarterback.

No, let me break it down for YOU:

We are a 9-6 team that was nothing but horribly overrated. Our "star" franchise QB who we thought was flawless is, in fact, playing like a true NFL rookie. Our "elite" defense couldnt be further from elite. Our coaches all look clueless in every phase of the game. We can't run or pass block against good defenses. Our "star" WR is about to set the NFL record for dropped passes in a season.

We are nothing but horribly overrted in every damn way.

HeavyHitta,

Like it or not... Our QB is pretty darn good.

Hes gone 6-3 as a Starter and has done some unbelievable things and for you to throw that all out after 1 or 2 games is pretty dumb.

He threw two of the worst INTs you'll ever see yesterday in crunch time in December with the division title on the line.

The defense played poorly, yes, but Tony Romo as much as anyone lost us that game with his 4trh quarter decisions. We had a real shot to cut the lead to 2 points, and he goes and throws a horrible ball to Brain Dawkins.

Romo is the only reason we were in that game yesterday. The defense sucked. The offensive line sucked. THe play-calling sucked. Wide receivers were dropping balls. Despite all that, Romo was making unreal throws/plays for 3 quarters. Eventually, being forced to carry the entire team caught up to him in the 4th quarter. Just a little help from his teammates and we would likely have won the game.

Romo was the only bright spot in that entire game.

Perhaps if we would not have abandoned the run so early Dawkins would not of been playing deep center field. I blame Parcells and the play calling that set it up as much as I do Romo for trying to make something happen.

Romo ws under zero pressure on that INT. There wasnt a defender within 5 yards of him. He STARED TO DOWN, had to hgave seen Dawkins back there, and still threw it. It was a bad play and the straw that broke our proverbial backs.

Tony Romo screwed up a few times yesterday.

I think he started trying to force things because he knew the defense wasnt going to stop Philly.

He played bad yesterday but to say hes a "rookie" QB is crazy.

Hes a dang good Quarterback.
