Let them keep talking Rodgers up

The onslaught of praise & adulation that is being heaped upon QB Aaron Rodgers doesn't bother me one bit. In many ways, he's earned it. However, it can't help but to give us an edge. The more people expect from you, the hotter the spotlight gets. I'm not saying Rodgers will wilt from it, but it's got to be getting awful hot by now. On the other hand, people are forgetting what rookie Dak Prescott & Co. did to the Packers in THEIR house in game six. I was especially impressed by the 97 yard, 4 play, 34 second TD drive the offense put on with the Packers faithful howling. An Elliott run, a sweep by Whitehead to get them to their own 38, a pass to Williams to the Packers' 20, then a dime dropped into Butler's hands in the corner of the end zone. Touchdown, Cowboys! That's what OUR QB can do. That's what OUR O-line can do. That's what OUR receivers can do. Plus, they're coming to OUR house now. So, let them talk all day about Mr. Rodgers. Come Sunday, we'll burn his whole neighborhood down.

What people need to understand is that the Packers don't have that good of a team. Aaron Rodgers deserves the praise because his team is trash without him.

With that said the more they praise Rodgers maybe the more pressure he puts on himself to do it all.

He is a great QB. Part of any coverage of the game is going to be talking about how a great SuperBowl Winning MVP owning 19 TDs and 0 INT throwing 7 game win streaking owning is coming to town.

Having said that...there has been no shortage of praise for Dak and the Cowboys who are favored to beat the Packers and that great SuperBowl Winning MVP owning 19 TDs and 0 INT throwing 7 game win streaking owning.

I swear some of you are too sensitive to the dark arts of marketing of a marquee matchup.

If the Packers somehow manage to win this game and somehow manage to win the Superbowl, Rodgers will need to be put on the Mt Rushmore of NFL QBs.

I watched the replay of the earlier game this season on NFL network last night and the Packers defense was just plain bad in all phases. They have a freaking WR playing RB at this point.

The more I watch and the more analyze I just can't find a scenario where a team as cruddy as the Packers can beat the Cowboys at AT&T.

The more the spotlight is OFF our rookies, the more I like it.
They have got to be thinking what the heck do we have to do to get some attention in this league?
Both of these guys are proud and talented athletes and I expect them to play with their hair on fire Sunday

Not to mention their offense stunk.

They better keep their mouth shut just like they have been all week about Jordy Nelson being out when we beat them on Sunday. But knowing how the media is, they're going to retract everything they said about Rodgers and highlight how "big of a loss "Jordy was.

To me keeping Rodgers from doing his 2 step side hop while he waits for a receiver to clear enough for him to throw to , is a key factor to shutting him down....

By all means, keep talking him up. BECAUSE IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. NOTHING THE MEDIA SAYS MATTERS!

Someone please explain to me a logical reason to care what the media says. Because all I can think of is it hurts your feelings or simply isn't what you want to hear so now everyone must know you don't like it. Fill me in please.

I like Rodgers..but if I see the Insurance commercial where he swings the golf club thru the window..

I'm going to throw my putter at my TV.

Wish he would use the same judgement in the game Sunday.

One little obscure advantage that Dallas will have is Romo on the sideline. No one has really picked up on this advantage. I remember watching some footage from the first game where Romo was talking to Prescott about busted coverages and where GB was likely to make adjustments the next time around. I don't think that you can discount what having Romo on the sidelines will mean for Prescott should he struggle or misfire. Romo is like a second quarterback coach in real time with real diagnostic ability/recognition of what defenses are trying to do. His experience will be a big plus going forward.

All the Rodgers hype should inspire our defense to really get after it because they're going to need to. I expect the Packers to come out and try and jump on us quick, get us behind and make Dak beat them. If we can't stop Rodgers, it's going to come down to Dak vs Rodgers in a shootout and we're not going to win that battle. We can't be put in a position where we have to get away from the running game, having to make plays down the field to have to come back and keep up. We need to jump on the Packers early and dictate the action, allowing us to play our game. We can't allow Green Bay to take us away from what we've been doing offensively all season. It's critical we don't get behind the chains on Sunday or we're not going to win this game.
