Let Zim be Deion's Defensive Coordinator?

Too many here have bought into the Jones' boys "we like our guys," mantra. I don't want a HC, OC or DC with any ties to the Cowboys past.

Deion has a lot of nfl guys on his staff currently. I wouldn’t be shocked if he brought a lot of his guys if he came to Dallas.

Please stop w Mike Zimmer - stop - he was never good - ever .
He wouldn't be my first choice to be the next HC of the Cowboys, but to say he was never good - ever?...

Mike Zimmer
Named Vikings Head Coach on Jan. 15, 2014...Coached 134 total games (including five postseason contests), going 72-56-1 in regular seasons and 2-3 in postseason contests.
Led Vikings to 13-3 mark in 2017, advancing the team to the NFC Championship Game.
Earned 2015 and 2017 NFC North titles.
The Vikings ranked No. 1 in the NFL in total defense in 2017.
Served as a defensive coordinator for Cincinnati (2008-13), Atlanta (2007) and Dallas (2000-06) prior to his hire.
Coached Cowboys DBs when Dallas won Super Bowl XXX over Pittsburgh.
Had a top-7 defense in four of his final five seasons with Cincinnati.

Numbers above look pretty solid.

Deion and Zimmer would be solid. Feel like the players would be held accountable.

I'd be more interested in who Deion wants as an OC though. That's the key; do we go status quo or finally modernize the offense with or without Dak's approval?

Don't you have to have some reasonable degree of continuity with your coordinators...assuming, of course, that you have half-decent ones? Installing new systems on an annual basis seems counterproductive.

Probably send the play maker out there to run some plays he got from Dez

Depends on the head coach.

If they hired Moore then Zim makes lots of sense. If they hired Deon then Deon should hire his coordinators. Definately want to paid Moore with experienced coaches who are typically more demanding of players. Coaches like Deon need to bring in their guys so they can run things a certain way and this is how cultural shifts begin to happen.

They couldn’t wait to get rid of him in Minnesota and Cincinnati.
He had a decent year as the Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator in the 90s that was it.

I would definitely take Dion, he isn’t scrutinized yet and people won’t know what to expect

He loves Zim, that way Zim stays in his current position, please give your thoughts
Yeah Deion and Zim have a great relationship….i could see it, especially how the D improved after most of the season in the new scheme. I think it would invigorate Zim too.
