Names like Patrick Willis, Luke Keuchley, Derrick Johnson, Derrick Brooks, Ray Lewis and Lawrence Taylor have all been mentioned when describing Smith's play and potential. Let's assume for a second that he makes a full recovery and is exactly the player who some thought was the best overall in last year's draft class.

How great could his impact be and how will this team deploy him?

Considering his nerve will fire again, I will play along. He will make his own name for himself. Hard to compare for me.

Really no way to tell. He hasnt taken an NFL snap. I don't expect him to play next season so I'm not getting my hopes up

I don't know. I simply don't.

I highly question that he'll be 100% this season... He may not ever.

But he still may be able to play– At less than 100%.

And who knows what he brings to the table?

Is he forced to sit another season?

3rd stringer that plays some special teams?

A starter with a ho-hum season?

A guy who shows flashes of being a difference maker?

A guy who is a difference maker?

I don't know.

Obviously no one does.
