Damn. Now I'm depressed.Heres some perspective...from the 1977 season until that of 1992 was 15 years. We at least made the NFC title game in three of those years, and five playoff appearances otherwise.
If that was a drought, what exactly are we in now??
I mean, its somewhat rhetorical, since the answer is we are watching Jerry play with his toy. Pretty sad looking at it that way.
My thoughts exactly.Poor Bills. As someone who's lived in western NY a while, I do have a soft spot for them.
My ideal 1990s would have been:
- Norwood makes that field goal, Bills beat Giants 22-20
- Bills pull off underdog upset a year later, beat Commanders
- Bills lose in 1992 and 1993 to the Cowboys as they did in real life
So it gives Buffalo 2 Super Bowl rings, while also denying the Giants and Skins each one ring.
I can now. But for a couple of days afterward I couldn't hardly talk at all.Let's discuss Super Bowl 27
I know man I had to bring you with me lol. Sorry.Damn. Now I'm depressed.
Yeah like the Pats vs NFC East in SBsPoor Bills. As someone who's lived in western NY a while, I do have a soft spot for them.

That's why you have to do things like that.I’ve only seen 5 Cowboys games in person and SB XXVII was one of them. I lived in Pasadena at the time, approximately 3 miles from the Rose Bowl. I went to the stadium with a buddy without any tickets but with $5,000 cash in my pocket and a $12,000 Rolex. I was determined to get a ticket. I didn’t care where the seats were located I just wanted to get in the stadium. I knew there would be scalpers all over the place. I knew the closer we got to kick off the more their prices would come down. I spent about 30 minutes doing some negotiating. Found a drip that had a cigar box full of tickets. Got a couple of 10 yard line seats, upper deck for $3500. I would’ve paid the same amount for end zone seats I was so desperate. My butterflies had butterflies when I walked into the stadium. I had never been that nervous watching a Cowboys game in my entire life!
Spending over 3 grand on a couple of average seats added to the tension. I literally almost threw up before kick off I was so damn nervous. Had the Cowboys lost I may have swan dived off the top of the stadium into the parking lot. I would have completely lost my will to live. I can’t even begin to describe how overcome with joy I was when they won the game, especially how dominating they were. I actually had tears in my eyes. It was like everything I had ever dreamed of my entire life as a Cowboys fan and it was staring me right in the face. I never just dreamed of watching the Cowboys win a Super Bowl in person, I dreamed of them kicking butt doing it. How sweet it was!

You'll make more green paper, but you'll never be able to buy that experience.
That's 100% true. For a diehard Cowboys fan that experience was priceless. Only here would I ever say what I spent on those tickets or what I was willing to spend because anywhere else people would think I’m crazy. Only a diehard fan would understand.

VHS? I have them on VHS it will take about another 50 years to become unplayable, minimumHad this and all of the playoffs/SBs from this era on VCR - probably disintegrated by now - glad they're on Youtube.
I still find it bittersweet watching these old games.
And taking inflation into account, that would have been like $7,000 in today's money. But you made it worth every penny.
I'm betting that had you been present in person for SBXXX instead though, you'd have been puking in terror and nervousness until Larry Brown's 2nd INT.
