Let's face it...w/ Wade at the helm this team is doomed

Just about every zoner here wants Wade gone, and I'm sure many wanted him gone after that horrendous Philly game last year.

I'm sorry but I just don't see this team accomplishing it this year w/ mister "certainly we can do better" BS. Here's just a list I can think of off the top of my head:

1. Who in their right mind decides to rotate starting RCB because they played so well during TC and pre-season? Not only does it screw up the safeties, it screwed with Scandrick and Jenkins because they were fighting for a starting job during REGULAR season games. Jenkins felt dejected losing a starting spot and Scandrick had the worst of the deal because he had to move to the slot on the nickel packages and work the outside on 2 WR sets.

2. Wade has absolutely NO INPUT for Tony Romo, to me it seems this team has two head coaches, one runs the defense and the other runs the offense. You really think Phillips has final say so over the offense play calls? Did Wade really agree with the two goal line fades in the Carolina game and if he didn't why didn't he step over Garrett and call a run? I'm reminded of the Giants game of last year that Romo sat out w/ his injury and Johnson had thrown 2 INTs heading into half-time and Wade was asked by Andrea Kramer if Brooks Bollinger was going to be on the field and Wade's answer was "we'll have to look into that" - it was pretty clear that Johnson was in over his head and that Bollinger should have been tried. Of course Bollinger throws an INT on his first series but drives the team to score on the second one. That's the indecisiveness that plagues this team left and right.

3. A little iffy on this one but as a self proclaimed DC, Wade can't even run this D like he is known for. I know he has new personnel and I might be willing to give him a pass but what did they learn in OTAs and in TC? The only starting player that is learning an entire new defense was Gerald Sensabaugh and he is doing pretty well.

4. Forget season ending injuries this team needs to tackle in training camp. I'm willing to live with injuries suffered in camp because this team can't make a basic tackle to save their lives. Here we are going to the 5th week in the NFL and Hamlin still can't make a tackle that a junior varsity high schooler can do all day.

I'm sure you guys can come up with more stuff but these are things that just really irk me. I'm still watching every Cowboys game but I'm just so frustrated after last year waiting, waiting and waiting so more for this team to look like a solid football team to make some noise in the post season.

end rant.

You lost me right there.

Sweeping generalizations are worthless.

I am one of the people who actually likes Wade. I think that the offense (Jason Garrett) is the #1 issue with the team right now. The defense is keeping us in games, the offense isn't holding up their end of the bargain.

I can agree with that but I still believe that Wade doesn't have the "it" to take this team to the next level.

That might be true, but if the offense shows up when they are absolutely needed against the Giants and the Broncos we are going into KC 4-0. There are just too many problems with this team right now to lay the blame on any one person. I could start the list of problems but we'd be here all night But yes, Wade is one of the problems, just not one of our bigger issues right now in my eyes.

Again, Wade is merely a symptom. Think of it like a house: Wade is the timber, but Jerry is the foundation. No matter how good the wood is, without a solid foundation, you're ****ed.

I don't know if I'd go that far. I still think that we're one of the luckier fan bases to have a foundation like Jerry Jones, he just needs to change a few things about Jerry the GM and we'll be fine. He certainly knows how to put together a roster filled with talent, now he just needs to tuck away the ego a little bit and bring in a proven coach that knows what to do with the talent.

We all know JJ is not going to give up GM duties so were stuck with him. Do I think he's a problem, you freaking bet I do. The next person in line is the HC who in the last year of his contract NEEDS TO DO EVERYTHING HE CAN to save his job and so far he's the same ol' wait and see Wade.

I'm sorry but this is horse ****! It's a sign of obvious and irrational Wade hate. Read/heard it from the media and the typical haters on this board when it was first announced.

I was so surprised at the negative response when it was first announced. My gut reaction to it was pleasant surprise. I saw it then and still see it now as smart. Certainly thinking outside the box and I like that.

Much greater upside than downside. It would keep both guys involved and hungry. Neither player would feel like a loser and rightfully so since they both had a legit claim to the starting spot.

We all know StayPuff and Tecmo have no idea what the hell is going on.

We all are hoping the team wins despite the horrid coaching, but deep down inside we all know that this team aint winning jack.

8-8 tops.

The team is 2-2. If Wade does not take responsibility for that, then he is worthless -- more worthless -- than ever thought.
Only a Wade supporter would point fingers AWAY from the HC.

Let's face it, replying to a post starting with "Let's face it" is not the same as starting a new thread with it. :laugh2:

Interesting rant. Be careful though. If it gets too controversial your thread might get closed. Good luck with that.

My take? You always want to cut the problem off as high as you can possibly get. As others noted, getting rid of Wade is necessary but I fear it won't stop this depressing pattern of yes men hires. There's a bigger problem here and as long as he refuses to change his ways VR will continue to be a circus.

Nope. An antidepressant will not. Better execution of its offense (primarily) will. For a certain portion of the team's fanbase, the answer is still no, but it will assist them with coping. Marathon posting of the team's struggles may seem reasonably therapeutic to some, but it falls way short of doing the job. It's doubtful that Zoloft or any antidepressant would act as a resolute coping cure, but it would most likely be a definite, tangible step in its direction.
