You're right, but we could play the 92 Cowboys four times in December, and people wouldn't care. Nobody cared last year when our final five games were against all four conference championship game participants plus the #1 seed in the NFC. There's probably not a team in football that would've won 75% of those games, but ******, we're supposed to win them all.

All that said, as we all know, it's too early to say how tough those teams will be three months from now. They could have injuries, turmoil, or just bad years.
I have screamed this at the top of my lungs....we did not choke....we played the elite of the NFL. And save the Eagles game....we either won (the Giants) or loss by slim margin (Steelers/Ravens). Not to mention I believe all 4 teams finished in the top 5 in defense last year. And our philosphy as a team last year was to win with offense (and the passing offense no less)

Real quick, the Cards were in the championship game last year. But I get your point and ABSOLUTLEY agree.

Okay, I've faced it.

I don't know what happened to October, November and the rest of September, but December has now been faced. 4 tough games.

If we win all of those and are 5-11 on the season having lost the rest of the games until we get there, does that somehow make things better?

I really don't understand the rationale behind facing this now. But I've faced it per instructions, so all is well.

Thankfully not as tough as last year's December games (3 of the 4 teams played in conference championships and the 4th was the #1 seed in its conference), and hopefully we won't be playing with an injured QB either.

It's no tougher than the rest of the NFC East.

Philly - Atlanta, Giants, SF, Denver, Dallas

Giants - Dallas, Philly, Wash., Carolina, Minn.

Wash - New Orleans, Oakland, Giants, Dallas, San Diego

Exactly, you cant get ahead looking at games, you have to keep your head in the game that your playing. If you look ahead, you might lose. Play one game at a time, let the chips fall where they may.

It is true that the cowboys have failed in December the last 13 years. Yet, like Hostile said, if you count the game we won in tampa bay and say we just won the last 4 games in december. That puts our won loss record at 5-11, a losing season.

So, dont get ahead of yourself. Dont count your chickens till the eggs hatch.

Just wait, the season will be over before you know it, and December will be here.

Then lets see where we are.

One of the things you really have to look at is this;
Are some of the Dallas Cowboy fans spoiled. Yes, to a degree. Look at the Houston Texans, they havent been in a playoff game since when? How about the Chiefs, Bengals, 49ers, Saints before they got to the playoffs before Sean Peyton got there, Cardinals before they went to the playoffs last year, Raiders.

We as Dallas Cowboy fans have been used to winning with the championships in the 70's, and 90's. It's like Troy Aikman said the other day, you have no ideal how hard it is to get to the superbowl. You just dont put in a key and turn the lock and presto. Takes time, building through the draft, and acquiring players through free agency and trades.

Sure, expect the Cowboys to do better, and let them know your rooting for them, and they let you down when the play like they do sometimes. But be thankful that we as fans do have some championships, and support your players.

It could be worse, just think if the cowboys owner fired Tom Landry like the fans wanted in 1965, just think or say if the cowboys werent purchased by jerry jones and coached by jimmy johnson who built the team in the 90's. So, be thankful for what you have.

Some teams in the NFL havent won a championship.

"Lets face it, we have a tough december". I am curious who did not already know this and needs to realize it? What is there to face up too? The obvious?

Having said that, they can only play the team in front of them. The schedule and record will take care of itself.

December will get here soon enough anyway and I am in no hurry. I don't plan to worry about it in any event.

Mark Twain once said "I spent most of my life worrying about things that never happened."

I'm not smart enough to worry about things I can't do anything about anyway.

And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe
Maybe this year will be better than the last
I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself
To hold on to these moments as they pass

Having a tough December is a blessing in disguise. We just need to learn how to win in it.

If you play against quality teams, it prepares you to for a Super Bowl run. If we can't learn to beat teams like that consistently, we dont deserve to win a Super Bowl anyway.

True. Which is why it is important to win early to put your team in a position where the late season game are still of importance.

you can't win a championship in September and October but you sure can lose one.

I'm concerned about keeping that wild and crazy defensive line off of Romo at the moment.

I'll start to worry about December at the two minute warning of the Thanksgiving game and not a moment before. :)

You got it. Dallas is taking the right approach in focusing on each and every day instead of looking down the road on what might be. Take care of business now worry about dec games when they get here.

As a fan I'm not concerned about Dec. I'm going to enjoy the season from start to finish. Right now the Giants are the only game I'm concerned about and looking forward to seeing.
