Carter was just turning the corner when he went down. I believe the D will be just fine as long as RoMc stays on the field.

The Eagles don't scare me. Foles can't throw deep. Our DBs will blanket those receivers.

Our defense played it's best ball last year against the Iggles. I expect more of the same.

I'd agree with everyone that most of the negatives stem with special teams:
  • Mediocre, at best, punting game
  • Too many penalties on returns. Against Houston, didn't we have three straight returns that drew a penalty?
  • The big, big special-teams gaffes. Botched punt, blocked punt. Those are plays that typically lead to losses
Defensively, I'd like to see us finish off more sacks. Given that we have almost an all-new, and still somewhat injured, defensive line, I've been pleasantly surprised by the pass rush in recent weeks. I thought they did a good job penetrating against Seattle. But I'd love to see us wrap up and finish one or two more of those pass rushes a game. We're not going to yield an elite pass rush, so we need to make the most of what we get.

Aye, the penalties in the return game were bothersome the week before vs. Houston. That certainly needs to be cleaned up, I agree.

punting needs to improve and fumbling needs to stop, Murray did one out of bounds y'day and Harris again. We can't be doing this again and again and expect to win.

Fumbles.
Run defense.
The return game. (Not all of special teams: Bailey and the coverage units are just fine).

As the saying goes "silence is golden, but duct tape is silver" lol

Turnovers and pass rush is all that really concerns me. Easy to forget that that endzone pick Romo threw that was dropped. Next play was the TD to Escobar. If the DB catches that, I doubt we win the game. We can't turn the ball over like we did the last two weeks and make a deep playoff run.

I don't care what the pundits say. That play is overblown. We have had a drop passes too. Why aren't those being emphasized?

Call me a negative Nancy, but I just wanted a "different" thread for a day or so.

Got any more?

Yeah your pretty much a negative nanny. We all know that Cowboys need to work on their turnover issues. Seems pretty obvious don't you think?

I like the thread. We're all feeling good but want the best for our squad. We do have weaknesses/things to clean up. I'd like to see more plays made by our 1 tech specifically Hayden and McClain. I actually like the way every unit is playing defensively except that spot. Not sure if that difference maker is on this squad. Not really concerned with Harris, I chalk it up to a lack of focus. Something that can be corrected from within. Free 's injury is a concern from a chemistry standpoint but I'm anxious to see point blank period what we have in Parnell. This is it for me with him. The opportunity is here, take it by the horns and keep the job or show us it's time to move on. Those are it for now.

Dwayne Harris has been pressing to match his last year and it appears to be a fluke, at least the blocking isn't there. We have terrible jammers, and by the time Harris gets the ball, he has no where to go. Awful decision making too. Almost cost us in Houston and almost cost us against Seattle. He isn't good enough to be costing us games.

Chris Jones is also terrible. Short punts, and punts that aren't even worth kicking. Might as well try for long field goals with Bailey or go for it with Romo.

Pass rush still needs to improve.

Pass blocking needs to improve.

Scandrick needs to play physically without getting called for penalties.

Dumb penalties at the end of games nearly costing us games. That holding penalty at the end of the game could have come back to haunt us.

Murray needs to do a better job holding onto the ball.

Turnovers and everything special teams minus Bailey
Bailey must have a halo effect because our kickoff coverage has been fine as well. Basically any special teams when Bailey isn't on the field has been bad.
