He really has turned out to be one a great asset for us.
Prior to any off season mini camps, I thought he and / or Harris could be on the bubble unless 6 WR's were kept.
Man am I glad I was extremely wrong.

Can't remember what the reasons were, or if they ever came out as to why he left the team during TC his rookie year. Nor who it was that went to talk to him, and to have him return. If it was Jason or someone else, or several people, including Jerry.

But who ever, or what was said and done, huge props for that. He has saved us quite often with some big plays.

Cole Beasley is a major asset in the passing game.

I was surprised to see him so under-used early in the season.

I'm glad that's changed, the same goes for Jason Witten.

Beaz is a match-up problem and gets too open to ignore.

Adding him to the attack has opened up our passing attack. I'm glad he's getting his targets and I hope that continues into the postseason.

He is always open and teams are now trying things to cover him and take their chances with Williams or Witten. This kid is a bigger asset to our team than most realize. In fact I would be hesitant to ever take him off the field.

He creates such a mis match and he's really making the most out of his opportunities! If they try to match him up with a corner that makes it easier to run the ball, if they try and cover him with a safety it leaves the door open for Witten or for Dez or Williams to make a play against one-on-one. He'll flat out smoke most LBs. He really helps this offense in so many ways.

I wish Jerry had this guy locked up already!

Well for one, they have a lot of other guys whose situations are more immediate. For another, I don't know if they can extend him yet. Might have yo wait until after the season. Depends on his contract.

I won't swear to it, but I believe teams can renegotiate the contracts of undrafted free agents following their second season in the NFL.

Clubs have to wait until after three years with drafted players.

Cole Beasley is finishing his third season and is scheduled to be a restricted free agent this off-season. Because he was undrafted, Dallas will need to use a second round tender (max est $2.405M) in order to keep other teams from coming after our little Mustang.

The Cowboys sometimes try to sign restricted free agents to small, multi-year deals instead of the one year RFA tender.

The team will guarantee at least as much money as in the tender, so the player isn't losing money, and this lowers the cap hit in the first season.

I call him my Coley-Cole and I'm sticking with it. Someone on Cowboys Break said with all due respect to Dez, Cole Beasley is the Cowboys X factor

He really is... Or could be.... the difference in extending drives or punting away.

To think that his career almost ended before it began. He has done well to make everybody forgot about their Danny Amendola rueage.

I've been a Cole Beasley fan since Day 1. Always been in this kid's corner. I'm glad others are coming around to the reality that this guy moves chains and makes plays. He is difficult to cover, stronger than he looks, and he catches pretty much everything. Great slot receiver. If matched with a true speed threat in addition to Dez, he would help take this offense even further.

That being said this team has not developed him as well as they should have, and have not developed Escobar as well as they should have.

It's about time the best slot wr in the NFL got a positive thread of his own.
