Just glad to see the team exit the game with no injuries. They got a few snaps in for Dak and Romo. Rested some guys with some nagging injuries. Now just sit back and see who they play Sunday the 15th.

We were winning the game with some of the the players (several others that did not play) we will be counting on in the playoffs. I feel confident they did their jobs and executed. That's good enough for me. The risk is just not worth it in my opinion.
Ok Then, have a nice day!

I will say no matter what happens and when all the dust clears this season the organization deserves allot of credit for where we are and where we are going, I am excited to be a Cowboys fan again and I see great things for many years to come..

My only concern is Claiborne coming back after a long time away from the game. I don't have the trust in him as say if O-Scan was out for a while with an injury. Mo is just starting to get the nuances of the game down and may need to constantly be working at it to be up to snuff.

The only other concern is the D-Line depth. Depends on Lawrence and Thornton's availability.

I'm happy that Romo got time in and looked good. This way we aren't throwing him to the wolves if we need him and it's a great audition for him if we decide to trade him.

I give credit to the organization because they did their homework this offseason. When most other scouts thought Dak was in a college gimmicky scheme, they recognized that he was in a pro style passing offense, much like the Cowboys', and that he just ran out of the shotgun on every down. They were convinced that EE was the best RB they have ever scouted, stuck to their guns and most importantly...were right about that assessment.

They could have given up on Marinelli, but stuck to their guns and let him figure out how to rejuvenate the defense.

They moved Byron to safety and he was a 1st round pick and they normally don't draft safeties in the first round and they went out of their comfort zone (and Marinelli's) and the move paid off big time.

They let Jerome Henderson go and the combination of Greg Jackson coaching the safeties and Joe Baker coaching the corners has paid off big time.

Now we need to follow it up with another quality offseason. Keep making smart moves and we'll become a dominate organization in the league.

Zooming out, I hated a Cowboys organization where Jerry Jones was clearly trying to distinguish himself as a football mastermind, when he was/is not that.

And now, I've come to believe that he's mellowed on that front. I think it began with his decision to hire Parcells, and bring into the organization someone who explicitly would demand to drive the cart in the grocery store; but the metamorphosis by no means was completed then. It only sprouted this idea that Jerry should start listening to others who have stronger football pedigrees than him and who have amassed some history of success as scouts or coaches.

My perception now, accurate or not, is that he has reached a place where he makes the final decision, sure, but more than ever, he's rubberstamping whatever he perceives to be the consensus between coaches (Garrett, and to a lesser degree, Linehan and Marinelli), scouts (mainly McClay, but perhaps others), and... maybe as importantly as anything, his salary cap guru... Stephen. In fact, we know it's been reported that CEO-in-waiting has been fairly aggressive at times in telling his dad what to do.

So, I for one, have went from a very negative opinion of Jerry Jones and how he runs the team to a very positive one. Easy for me to say that after we win 13, right? But truly, I was saying this a year ago. I really was. I have come to agree with Jerry that there is something highly advantageous to the GM and the owner being the same person... with two caveats: (a) that the GM/owner have gathered around him credible people who he clearly respects and listens to before reaching a decision, and (b) that the GM/owner has to be indisputably driven to put a winning product on the field. (Reference the guy in Cincy who largely sees his franchise as a family business, focused primarily on profiting financially).

That's funny because I think they played it all wrong. I think they showed they were cowards and followed the same scared approach of 2007. When the legion of cheerleader emasculated fans praised them for being "smart" and then watched a Giants team who couldn't take their foot off the throttle steal everything they own in the postseason.

It still counted on his stat line because he was active and suited up. So it still shows that 2016 he played all 16 games

nfl.com has him listed as 15 game played this season while everyone else who actually played in all 16 shows 16 games played. Not saying you are wrong, just that nfl.com's stat page does not agree with what you just said at this point.

You're gonna get some flack for saying this... and because of that derby hat too... but I don't totally disagree with what you're saying. This team is young. I wanted the rookies to play a lot more minutes. The team has talent. No doubt. The team has moxie. No doubt. But will the team be mentally strong enough experience-wise to ward off any formidable adversity that one of its playoff opponents throws its way? I hope so. Stay tuned.

Not playing Romo at home while up by 20 in the fourth quarter was so mind-blowingly idiotic that I don't care what happened in Philly.
