Yeah exactly, Dak always gets strip sacked and fumbles in the pocket against them

They apply a lot of pressure and put us in a lot of 3rd and long situations especially in the second game. We've struggled in 3rd and long all season. If you get behind the chains against the Giants it can end up being a long, frustrating day. They win with defense. They held a potent Washington offense to 10 points yesterday. They're a team that can't be taken for granted because they could end up in the SB again. This team is somewhat similar to the teams they won titles with in 2007 and 2011.

The issue was that he had Lance Dunbar come into the game at random times to spell Zeke.

In 3 inch bold letters...

DMC >>> Dunbar

Dunbar has no business coming into the game against the Giants defense.
I've been thinking we should focus on getting more of a power back to spell Zeke on the occasional 1st and perhaps 2nd down. Then we have Zeke on 3rd who can do anything; we can then avoid going empty as Zeke is a decent run option on just about any single-digit to-go distance.

If the playoffs are about the QB, I'd rather face Eli Manning over Aaron Rodgers.

Yes the Giants beat us twice, but it's not like they dominated us. They won 2 games by a total of 4 points.

You might want to check Eli's career especially in the playoffs. Anyone downplaying Eli and the Giants in the playoffs is just being a FAN. This is how they ended up in the SB in 07 and 2011 by many downplaying them. They're a team that finds ways to win games in the playoffs, they can't be taken lightly.

Blah blah blah

I said they match up well vs Dallas..they don't match up well vs GB

This isn't 2007...

It's 2016...wake up

Maybe Favre is still a beast too..I mean he was good in 2007

They just don't scare me. I'm more worried about the Packers and Falcons. Yes, Dak played poorly in the second game. Very poorly. He looked awful. But Zeke was running well. How many 2nd and 4s, or 2nd and threes, or 3rd and 2s did we have that we decided to pass, or bring in Dunbar, or run Morris? It seemed like every time Zeke had a 6+ yard run, we'd immediately go away from running. Where was Zeke in the fourth quarter? He was on the bench in favor of Dunbar.

That's what I meant by doing more to lose the game.

I don't feel we have to stay in a track meet with the Giants. We need to protect the ball, stop the run, and limit OBJ. Those are things we've done fairly well the last few times we've played them. Game two was not pretty, but divisional games on the road are tough.

I think we'll be ok.

GB and ATL can score plenty and often.

Something has to change this time around though. Can't do the same thing and expect a different outcome. Someone did post an article about Dak taking more snaps under center on passing downs. The Giants seemed to know the plays, so clearly something was tipping them off.

Giants defense worries me. Their offense does not.
Packers offense worries me. Their defense does not. At all.

Rodgers is locked in right now. But they still are soft in the trenches and have no real run game. Corners are bad.

Let's just root for Detroit to win Saturday night haha.

It's not a shot, just a fact. He was awful the last game against the Gmen

Has Romo ever had a bad game? Why gloss over this? Why suggest that Dak can't/won't improve? I'm shocked people can't see the hypocrisy in their analysis. Romo has struggled mightily for years in various spots most notably THE POSTSEASON.. yet Dak can't have one subpar regular season game? Whenever Romo struggles, it's NEVER his fault and is explained away by roster limitations, coaching, injury etc.. yet Dak's struggles fall squarely on his shoulders.

They didn't look like they matched up well with a 15-1 Packers team in 2011 with Rodgers coming off an MVP year but they went to Green Bay and beat them, frustrating Rodgers in the process. The Giants have a history of sneeking up and winning championships when no one expects it against potent offenses. They beat the Broncos and Elway in the SB years ago, along with a high powered Bills offense in 1990 despite the Giants playing with a backup QB.

They shut our high powered offense down in the playoffs in 07 and the Pats in the SB. They shutdown Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady in 2011. It's been the Giants history to win with defense. Both times they beat us this season was due to their defense. To go along with their defense that always steps up at playoff time is one of the most dangerous receivers in the game. You always have to worry about the Giants especially the Cowboys because no team in the league has hurt this franchise more than the Giants the past decade.

Green Bay has Aaron Rodgers who is infinitely better than Eli and can put a team on his shoulders and carry them even when they are flawed.

I'd rather play the Giants.

But I think the Giants aren't getting out of GB anyway.

Disagree. GB is clearly a much less formidable opponent. It's Rodgers, Nelson and not much else. A very good matchup for Dallas. On D, Cowboys have shown a good ability to shut down a one-receiver offense. Yes, Adams nearly posted 1,000 yards, but he's not a significant threat. That is more a product of the QB and GB having no running game. On the other side, NY is a bad matchup because Harrison controls the center of the line and Jenkins can play Bryant one-on-one. GB has neither. Matthews is the kind of smallish, speed rusher that Tyron just mauls and pushes into the ground. Put it this way, Dallas went to Green Bay two years ago and probably should have won the game. 2016 Packers not as good as that team, while the 2016 Cowboys are even better. Team stats on both sides of the ball prove this point. Plus, the game is in Dallas. Cowboys would beat Packers by 10+. A much better matchup than a third go-round with the Giants.

we know Dak can't solve that giant defense and we can't run against that front. Snacks owns Fred and Free is a swinging gate. Did I mention it's Eli in the playoffs on the road? I've seen this movie before so let's go Pack

What's helpful is that Dallas coaches can start game planning for all 3 since they have actually played them.. GB, NY, and DET. I bet they've already started this morning. I'd start with GB since, to me, that is the most likely scenario, followed by NYG and Detroit.

Romo should be starting; did you see how easily he went down the field against the Eagles? I can't believe they are going to start Dak and cost us a super bowl

What concerns me is the Giants play better when they keep playing, while we seem to return sluggish after a week off. I felt we should have played our starters a half yesterday instead of mailing the damn game in after the first quarter. Although the Giants had nothing to play for yesterday, they stepped up and showed pride by knocking Washington out of the playoffs. They played their starters the entire game because they don't mail games in. The Cowboys were in the same situation in 07 where they could have knocked Washington out of the playoffs in the season finale but we decided to lay down and embarrass ourselves by allowing the skins to walk all over us.

Garrett preached about entering the playoffs with momentum and we lost that with the way we handled yesterdays game. We could have won a franchise record 14 games and we just threw the opportunity away. I understand we don't want injuries but this team handled yesterdays game similar to how they handled the game against Washington in 07. That was our worst game of the 07 season and yesterdays game was our worst game this season. Hope how we handled the game yesterday turns out to be worth it.

Never said the Giants will get out of Green Bay, just that you can't take them for granted. You'll lose bets to me if I ever tell you to book something and you disagree.
