Let's have a honest conversation about the officiating

From 2000-2022

Seasons with 100 or more penalties.
Cowboys 18 (last in the NFL)
Steelers 11
Packers 9

Seasons with 80 or less penalties.
Cowboys 0 (last in the NFL)
Steelers 3
Packers 4

Cowboys lead the league again in 2023.

You cannot use the excuse of "all teams think the same" because none of them have the receipts of history like the Cowboys do.

It is league policy to screw the Cowboys through the officiating. There is no other logical reasoning at this point. There is far too large of a sample size for that anymore.
No doubt the refs are playing a role, but the stupidity of this team cost us this game with a lazy facemask that was legit

The D held them to 22 points. They did their jobs.
They allowed 5 fg's, and failed to stop them on the last drive of the game. Who do you want to blame for the loss then? We still can't stop the run, and took a stupid penalty on D on the last drive

All I know is it’s been 28 consecutive seasons in a row like this. Start tailspin in Dec, limp into playoffs, and we find a way to lose in spectacular fashion in the post season.

It seems teams w great off and def lines just punch us in the face and we cower, sleepwalk thru game and lose. It’ll be a ***** miracle if we ever sniff another NFC championship game. I wonder what the fundamental, root cause of this is since almost three decades transcends any one hc, QB, or roster? But hey, we are the most profitable which is all any fan could ask for.

Only 16 holding calls benefitting our defensive line this year. Micah has gone nearly 9 games without a holding call benefit.

There is no way that the refs do that to us unintentionally. This isn't the first year of this either. Remember the streak of 8 straight games few years back?

Remember how often Romo got roughing the passer calls?

This isn't an accident.

The problem with penalties and timing is that there is almost never a good time to get them. So the timing is always going to be bad
I mean if you are winning by 14 points and get a penalty I don’t care. When you are losing and trying to get back in games? All of a sudden those penalties hit a little harder.

The lack of holding calls is the mystery to me. I don’t understand it.

Crazy miami didnt get called for holding once that game, despite clearly holding.

They always get called for it when i watch them in other games, ive watched every game they play.

Pretty cool stuff
like Buffalo last week.

I get every team believes they get bent over but damn, how is it our minor holds are flagged yet none are called on Parsons or Clark is tackled, nothing.

All I want is fairness

And remember the 2016 team? We didn’t get punched in the mouth. Our lines were bullies. They took it to the other teams. So why didn’t that team make the NFC championship game?

The Green Bay packers were allowed to hold the cowboys defensive line all game long and never once got called for it. That’s when it all came out that “ oh yea you can hold as long as your hands are inside the shoulders” what a crock of shittte that is

I can only remember Romo getting a roughing the passer call one time

Just another penalty that we get called for anytime it’s questionable but yet our QBs have to get hammered for it to be called

We have sixteen offensive holding calls. The most in the league by far. Philly has none and some teams have 5 or fewer. That is fishy as hell. Also, the penalty rep plays a big part in the officials watching us more closely then other team. IMO
That's probably true. It's like when a trucking company gets an inordinate amount of DOT violations. They're more likely to get pulled in for full roadside inspections, until they consistently improve the conditions of their fleet. (DOT has a point system, the results of which they see as soon as they type in the company name.)

The LT not blocking the oppositions team best pass rusher, and fumbling at the one gets you beat.

The officials just get in the way

Your numbers are fishy. These things are tracked.

Dallas has 23 offensive holding calls, tied with Miami and NO. Ten teams have at least 19 such calls. Philly is the only team in the league with fewer than 5. They have 4.

Exactly..............I get tired of these "refs are crooked" post every time we lose.

Now do the refs watch us more closely since we lead the NFL in penalties? Possibly, just like how in the NBA players with a rep for committing fouls get called more often than other players who dont.

Is that proof of a conspiracy because the league and Godell hates Jerry Jones................I find that very hard to believe.
