He was not the Cowboys Linebackers coach during the period of time that McCarthy has been the Head Coach.

Joe Philbin has been an Offensive Coordinator for many years in the NFL and college. With the Cowboys he was not the offensive coordinator.

Your quote said Edwards got the most from "washed up Linebackers". In reality we don't know what his role was for the Cowboys during the McCarthy era.

McCarthy didn't sound enthusiastic about about the many position-less coaches or consultants. It appears these changes are driven by McCarthy.

You guys are ridiculous. That is George Edwards in the photo with the LINEBACKERS. What else was Edwards going to work with on the Cowboys roster. I hope you also know that George Edwards scouted, and coached Anthony Barr a similar Player like Parsons while with the Vikings. Anthony Barr is a LINEBACKER. He played up and down and all over the field like Parsons. He recruited Barr to the Cowboys to play LINEBACKER.

Finally, go to this link and the Cowboys website says LINEBACKER COACH George Edwards talking about the LINEBACKERS.
https://www.dallascowboys.com/video/george-edwards-a-really-great-problem

So based on the preponderance of the evidence, his defensive assistance was with the LINEBACKERS as a LINEBACKER coach.

By the way, Shawn Merriman in that tweet was a former Pro Bowl LINEBACKER.

You completely lost me there.
2021 they were talking about cutting Vander Esch or have him not return. After Coach Edwards, they are talking about not letting him go. Where were you in 2020-2021?
https://nflspinzone.com/2021/10/27/dallas-cowboys-players-wont-return-2022/4/

LEIGHTON VANDER ESCHLB, DALLAS COWBOYS
Leighton Vander Esch

Cowboys declined LB Leighton Vander Esch's fifth-year option for the 2022 season.

The writing was on the wall the moment Dallas traded back for Penn State LB Micah Parsons in the first round of Thursday's draft. LVE's 13 absences the past two years obviously played a major factor in this decision, foregoing the $9.145 million he otherwise would have been owed in 2022. For what it's worth, Jaylon Smith remains under contract through the 2025 season.

It seems to me that Jerry Dumbo GM Jones is at it again. Many believe that Moore and Nussmeier should go. But was it a negotiation of you take my coach, I take yours.

McCarthy you give up Rob Davis, Quinn you give up George Edwards, and I will then let Moore and Nussmeier (who was suppose to be Moore's successor) go.

The George Edwards thing boggles the mind because this man got more out of washed up LBers Vander Esch and Barr than we thought they would get. Rob Davis has literally been with McCarthy since the beginning (KC), and he was Director of the very need of the Jonesboys....player development..

So did the Cowboys lose a lot of experience and knowledge to get rid of a coach that had no experience to be an OC when hired, and no knowledge of how to use and develop players? Or, will Moore join the long list of players and coaches that have left the Country Club to have greater success somewhere else (see OL coach Frank Pollack, )?
none of that happened, take off the tin foil hat already, jeez.

Well Bob, I'd like to trade Dakota "WENTZ 2.0" Prescot for door number 3.

You guys are crazy
Everyone knows jfk and Elvis are both still alive and running a bed and breakfast up in Canada
Elvis did live long after they said he died, because he got tired of the fame and switched lives with the best Elvis impersonator alive and it was the impersonator that died of an overdose. Elvis lived and toured as an Elvis impersonator to get back to his roots for a long time but was eventually put in in a nursing home, where he died saving the world from an evil all powerful egyptian mummy called "Bubba Ho-tep". JFK helped him. I saw a documentary about it.

Wrong!

The fact that he was not the Linebackers coach does not mean he didn't coach Linebackers.

Leon Lett was not the DLine coach but he coached DLine.

Linebackers coach is an official title which is held by Scott McCurley.

Edwards title was Senior Defensive Assistant.

What? :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
Mike McCarthy official title is Head Coach but the media runs to see Jerry Jones immediately after every game.

Keep denying Donald...Don't listen to the LINEBACKERS, the Dallas Cowboys Website, the Title of the official Dallas Cowboys video on George Edwards, and ignore that 90% of his coach career has been coaching LINEBACKERS.

McCarthy said "Back at you Jerry, I just replaced Philbin 61 with Mike Solari 68 who coached back when Tom Landry was coach." Not great Tom Landry years of the late 60's, 70's and early 80's. But 1987-88 Tom Landry.

LET's MAKE A DEAL Jerry DUMBO GM JONES..just LOOK
