23 carries 187 yards 4 TDs oh wait I thought you said the 49er running back Mason . My bad 4 carries 3 yards for Cook.

it's a reason why a former star RB and All star RB .. has been on the practice squad while we featured the worst run game in the NFL .
Either Dalvin is on fumes and has nuthin left in the tank , (to which why the hell would we still sign him here if that's the case)
or we have the most clueless coaches under McCarthy on the face of planet Earth.
Also why would no NFL team consider signing ..or pouching Cooks off our practice squad and to their active roster .
With this Gawd Awful coach scheme, that includes OL, RB design, run scheme RB in pass game ,etc. i just expect Cooks to be a savior .

I give him a pass for the debacle that is/was the Jets. 2022 he rushed for over a 1,000 yards and had 8 td's so I think it is being harsh to say he is washed, until we see him

Just another feeble, old veteran with nothing left in the tank, stealing some of Jerry's money on his way out the door. We already had one of those and didn't need another.
You upgrade the RB squad in the draft with fresh, young college legs or a young veteran his previous team couldn't afford to give a second contract to.
The Cowboys had opportunity after opportunity to address this critical need and their efforts yielded undrafted practice squad guys, a 6th round hobbit and the guy they cut in an effort to upgrade the position a year ago.
