Let's not forget about these penalties...constantly putting us in worse situations...taking away a sack in one case.

We need to still play aggressive, but play smart.

I'm wondering is the media will forget about the penalties...but they need to cut them down.

Also be even then, the penalties committed by Gints but not called by Refs.

Agree.

The penalties definitely need to be cleaned up.

There are some we definitely need to clean up, especially the presnap stuff, but I also thought we got dinged a couple of times undeservedly, particularly the illegal contact penalty on Lewis when all he did was hold his position and the unsportsmanlike on Wilson when it looked like the receiver threw the ball at him (but was throwing it to the ref behind him).

It's fair to say that Wilson shouldn't have reacted the way he did, but that was a good spot for a no call.

Awful. I’ve never seen that Ref before either. I thought it might be Mara’s brother for most of it…..
He looked severely constipated every time his mug was on camera…

The personal foul on Williams was close. Another crew may have let it go.

Yes and I won't forget about the bs ones and the blatant no calls for the Giants.

That was a terribly officiated game.
Worst and most blatant I've seen in a long time. They were calling some costly ones against the Giants later in the game, and gave us what really seemed like a makeup call, so I can't say it was intentional. But holy crap, how do you not call it when two of their guys are holding our WR? How do you call it illegal contact on our DB, when he's standing still and the WR runs into him? How do you see a slight facemask grab to their guy, but not see our guy get wrapped around the neck while approaching their QB?

True. It was ticky-tack, but he did hit him out of bounds. I thought it was interesting, though, that Aikman and Buck said the officials have told QBs that they are essentially not going to get that call when they are trying to get upfield instead of stepping out of bounds. Based on that it shouldn't have been called because Jones had just stepped out of bounds while trying to stretch the play out for as many yards as he could and Williams pulled up.

To me, it looked like he stepped on the sideline at the same time Williams hit him (which wasn't as hard as it appeared in real time, IMO) and considering how many times he'd turned back upfield on previous runs, I don't think it should've been called.

Yes, I think they were just bad, not biased.

I think compared to how they usually call games. The refs did a decent job overall except for the lame no calls for the PI penalties. It felt like they actually let the players play more.
