1. Biggest motivator in the NFL is revenge.
I think the Rams win the game in LA.

2. Falcons in Dallas to me is a coin flip. If the Falcons defense can play half decent you know Ryan will put up 28 in that offense.
Falcons steal one.

3. Seattle at their place even without a crowd I think they get the Win.

4. Browns at Dallas could be a bit of a struggle because the Browns defensive line is no pushover. Dallas get the win though.

5. This is going to be the game that either gets the Cowboys back on track or sinks the season. Garrett will want revenge so bad but it's the Giants defense that will fail them.
Dallas gets the win.

Garrett would, but it's on the road for him so expect a conservative revenge playcalling lol.

4 Oct. 4 vs. Browns 1 p.m. ET Fox
5 Oct. 11 vs. Giants 4:25 p.m. ET CBS

Ok something non dak or ewok to talk about lol.

I think Dallas will wind up 4-1 or 3-2 after 5 games.

It is hard to say which games they lose or win.
Rams and Seattle are the only road games, so those could be the ones they lose.
Atlanta is home game, but they always seem to beat dallas.
Rams should want revenge for that last game. This is Sun night premiere game lol , both teams
will want this one bad.

Browns and Giants should be wins since they are home games and neither team is exactly
a powerhouse. But u never know these could be the 1 or 2 they lose.

Giants game will be fun, as Garrett comes back to Arlington, and I know he is going to want to win.
And it is cbs so Romo should be there too.

I am going with 3-2.
As without any OTA's or mini camps so far, it is hard to know what players look good or not. But then again, until TC starts, it was really always that way, sort of. Without pads on.

Anyway.
Rams, they dropped off last year, but that does not mean they will not be back to 2018 level. Loss
Falcons, we did beat them in 2018, but yes seems we always lost before that. Win
Seahawks, hard to say with them also, but it is at Seattle
Browns, I think they are still a team with the right breaks can win their division or compete to win it, but at home. Win
Giants, actually may have a more productive offense this year, even with Garrett, but what about their defense. Win

We win at home, lose on the road. However, I give us the edge to have an upset in one of the road games. Element of surprise as MM and new staff, new schemes. Bring that unpredictability for some wins.

Probably 3-2, hopefully 4-1.

2-3 or worse and "Big Mike" will be turned on by those who have sung his praises since the day he was hired.

The people who obsess over Dak and/or Zeke will be unfazed regardless of the Cowboys record. The narrative will simply adjust to the situation. :muttley:

Gotta tell ya, DD...after 60yrs of following NFL football, the upcoming 2020 season is likely to be unprecedented in its potential variables.

Having said that, I believe we’re capable of winning each of our first five games. However, as things stand on July 1st, I have a tough time seeing us beating the Rams in LA.

Barring unforeseen serious injuries, and if the new coaching staff hits the ground running, we could easily go 4-1.

Conversely, if we start slow, we could easily go 2-3.

5-0 and the Dak haters crawl back under the rocks from which they came from.

In that scenario then i'm sure there would by 99% of posters agreeing to get the contract signed.

But what happens if we're 2-3 or even 1-4 ...with the Cap predicament in 2021 I wonder if MM will seek to tear it down and start again realising that this is potentially the most talented team he's going to have for 2/3 years with the present financial set up?

I don't think it'll happen, but it's a hypothetical situation that may.

It is conceivable that the Cowboys open the season 0-3, if I were betting, I would bet that they win the ATL game but this D is totally unproven and that DC doesn't have a great track record. He wasn't even a DC in his last 2 of many jobs.

People are too used to Garrett....

Beat the teams we are clearly better than and blow the rest.

This team will be pretty good.

Like 12-4 with a real chance type of good.

I think the defense will surprise people.

Plus the, ya know, the opponent not knowing exactly what's coming thing also.

I think it depends on how well MM and his coaching staff adjust to the pre-season.

I think we will go 3-2 or better. 11-5 on the season hitting our stride in December for a change. Superbowl ends with celebratory Landry shift.

Actually, against the cowboys, he will probably go all out, some trick plays and maybe just run the ball and see if cowboys have a good run
defense now.
