Cassel has to be better than Weeden. I've actually seen Cassel look like an NFL quarterback before.

Collins looked great when given playing time this season. Leary just doesn't look right for whatever reason.

Christine's one run play today was better than any run that Randle or McFadden had. He's our fastest and strongest RB.

The defense is going to be elite-level out of the bye. Heck, they looked elite today. And they're getting Gregory back. The offense needs a spark though. They need some life. I say we roll out the CCC and see see see what happens.

Cassel's going to make his share of mistakes, and I"m not sure we'll be much more productive until Dez returns, but one thing about the possibility of him in the lineup is we'll probably have more options for game planning. I worry more about turnovers than anything else, since I don't see our WRs getting open downfield for anybody.

If Garrett doesn't go with Cassel and Christine Micheal that'll be kind of strange actually. But I'm sure we'll go in that direction it only makes sense at this point.

I agree with this 100%. I will go a step further and say to bench Free if Green is ready to go soon and bench Street and give his playing time to Butler.

Garrett indicated in the post game that the plan was to use Michael more in the 2nd half and we got away from it because we had to get into our 4 minute offense, fwtw.

What? Not sure what you're asking here. You're wondering why weren't running it more later in the game?

Even when the game was already over?

Makes no sense.

Zero sense.... the game was virtually over with 11 minutes left in the 4th quarter and no Michael. Perfect opportunity to get him some run. Dumbest coaching I have seen in quite some time.

If JG would stop clapping long enough to let his brain catch up with his hands, we might actually see Christine Michael on the field for more than one play per game.

Cassel, Collins and Christine would very possibly go a long way towards boosting my confidence in our chances to actually be successful this year. Changes are in order. Hopefully the FO and the staff will get together during the bye week and decide to implement what cries out to be done to turn this mess around. It's high time for changes. It's also past time to show some cohones and adjust. It's just idiocy to stand pat and expect things to change.

There has been alot of speculation (key word) that Bryant may play VS the Giants

By nature Cassell is a more aggressive QB then Weeden. I dont know how he will be, but his style of play will open up the offense much more then Weeden. The WR'S share alot of blame, but there have been opportunities Weeden didnt take

Cassell will be a better fit with Dez, whenever he returns, because he has more touch and can put some air under the ball on intermediate throws, allowing Dez to use his ball skills to come down with it. Similar to JG throwing to Harper. With Weeden, everything intermediate is either a rope or way, way off.

Why not? These other guys are useless. Dmac should be scratched for Gus Johnson at this point too

Cassell was beaten out in Buffalo by some guy named Tyrod.
Collins has been far from perfect when he has played.
Christine probably is better than the two jags in front of him.

Cross our fingers.

I agree with the OP. The offense is doing nothing. NOTHING! You cannot do worse than lose every game (which is what we are doing now) so there is zero risk in making the changes.. Even if Cassel does make a few mistakes, if he can double the number of 1st downs we get, especially on 3rd down conversions that will give the defense time to catch their breath before they have to take the field again

Something has to change, otherwise you will see a lot of grumbling, especially if the defense kicks it into a higher gear.

A vertical passing game that covers the entire field, will greatly increase the run game. That has to be an improvement, despite possible errors. Presently, Dallas can't hang in the second halves of games, beyond the opening game or two of a season...that has to improve.

If JG were a good coach , he would have rolled the CCC out today, not saying they would have won, but they would have scored some points.
Garret coached to lose sunday, nothing new or innovative at all., only the defense saved the team from being embarrassed, like 72-6
