Let's sign multiple players instead of a big name DE

I think that's gotta be the fall back plan. I guess they can go out and sign some older vets like Mack, Bosa, Clowney, etc. and get 2 of those guys for possibly the price of Hendrickson. This is the approach the Cowboys have traditionally taken with signing some veteran guys and have a committee approach. I rather land a known star that's plug and play, but obviously if the cost is too high or have to give up valuable draft capital rather go a different direction.

I think they will go the route of Christian Parker, where the Eagles used their first- and second-round picks on Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. They then picked up Zach Baun in free agency, who didn’t do much in New Orleans. Now all three have become Pro Bowlers.

They weren’t stars when they came to the Eagles. There are also no stars on the Seahawks. They are all role players who fit the scheme.

Those two teams drafted wisely and brought in rejects from other teams. All it did was win them Super Bowls in the most dominant way possible.

If people understood the cap situation, annd how it works, and how contracts work. They would understand that multiple signings, including multiple first tier guys is not hard this year.

Agree. We need quality players but not necessarily the top player at a position. We aren’t one edge rusher from being a goid defender. We need 4-5 good pieces which probably means you get maybe second or third best over the top players at positions

A bunch of good role players win more games than having one super star. Max would be great but then you get FA like last years and you have at least one less premium pick
 
It's not just about Maxx vs. 3 or 4 other free agents. We HAVE to have good starters on rookie deals. It's the only way to really have success in this league under the cap. And obviously the only way to do that is through the draft. We need to hit on both of these first rounders AND sign quality free agents.

The main selling point for trading Micah was to fill multiple needs,,, of which we have many,,, to think we would turn around and jump right back into the hole we were in is crazy.
For the record though, Crosby > Micah (except for the age thing)

Just getting Maxx would be a mistake. Parsons didn't put us over the top, either will Maxx. What did he do for the Raiders? But they can get Trey and another player or two. Trey costs nothing other than what they pay him.

It doesn't matter what these guys are getting paid. The only thing that matters is their cap hit next year. Which can be adjusted every year. Except for the tag. I just think most team owners don't want to spend that much money.

Winning the SB isnt the prize fans think it is.

The only reason to get Crosby is sell teh fanbase and jerseys. Jerry is close to pulling the football again.

Exactly!! All it will do is raise false hopes like man we spent all this money we BETTER get a ring, doesn't work like this

I can't argue your point. The money it would cost to win a SB might not be as much as another path.
 
I agree.

Several years ago we had a solid 4-5 pass rushers, and rotated them throughout the game. Everyone stayed fresh, and wore down the opposing OL. It worked beautifully.

Don't go for a 'splash' player, and go get solid players.
