Peppers could be there.
I'd be amazed if he made it past 15 but you never know
Peppers could be there.
Really after Lattimore, it's going to come down to the individual team. Maybe include Humphrey, but I've seen mocks with him at the end of the 1st and even talk of him being a Safety. After those 2 though, you're talking about a group of 3-4 guys who, depending on the individual teams evaluation, could be CB3.While I don't necessarily think it has to be Conley, I agree that it seems pretty unlikely only 2 CB's go in the top 27. Conley does seem the most likely to go 3rd, but I could see a team liking Teez, Adoree, or even White over him.
QB- Won't Take
RB- Won't take
WR- Williams, Davis, Ross
TE- Howard, Njoku, Engram
OT- Ramczky, Bolles, Robinson
OG- won't take
C- Won't take
DE- Garrett, Barnett, Taco, Harris, Takk, Watt, Lawson
DT- Brantley
LB- Foster, Reddick, Cunningham
CB- Lattimore, Humphrey, Conley, Tre White
S- Adams, Hooker, Peppers
Now let's eliminate the obvious that will go before 28: all 3 WR's, Howard, Ramczky, Bolles, Garrett, Barnett, Foster, Reddick, Lattimore, Humphrey, Adams, Hooker, and Peppers. Plus I'll say 3 QB's and 3 RB's bringing the total to only 21.
That leaves Engram, Robinson, Taco, Harris, Takk, Watt, Lawson, Brantley, Cunningham, Conley, White left with still 7 more players to go off the board.
Now let's eliminate the most likely to go out of those: Robinson, Taco, Harris, Cunningham, Conley + I'll say a 4th QB goes to be generous
That leaves us choosing from: Engram, Takk, Watt, Lawson, Brantley, White? And then maybe Obi, Adoree, Tankersley, Willis....
So I guess the moral of what I'm getting at is...anybody else worried? I know it's the end of the 1st round, but those names just aren't very enticing to me.
Am I missing anyone? Anybody disagree strongly with any of the 27 I projected to go before us? This 1st round just doesn't go 28 deep in my opinion, trade down really seems like best case scenario to maximize this drafts depth in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Willis. Smart, hard working kid. Understands he has holes in his game. Working hard with Will Shields. Above all, production! Smart enough to know how to get better. Well coached. These are the guys in play @1/28....
Gareon Conley CB Ohio St.
Obi Melifonwu SS Connecticut
Jordan Willis DE Kansas St.
Fabian Moreau CB UCLA
Especially since Jones, Tabor and Wilson are seen as second rounders now it seems, weakened the pot we expected to push others downIf you believe the buzz, Conley won't be there at 28. Riding into the middle of round 1.
According to reports DeMarcus Walker ran a 4.76 forty at 281lbs and did 20 reps at his pro day.
I expect his stock to rise and it should.
They could be. I have Conley on my 1st round list and Willis on my 2nd round list. I took Obi off because he plays soft at times and slow to react. I took Moreau off for playing soft and injury.
Alln good fun!
I think a few of players on the "for sure will gone" list....will not be gone.
Looking forward to it
I love conleys size and coverage skills but he just doesnt like to tackle and in our D were screwed if we miss tackles, we need GREAT tackling ability at cb and it is what made A Brown such an impressive player last year.I'm with you. Only Conley has 1st round value @28.
4.76? Thats Tabor speed! If you saw any FSU games last year, it's obvious that Walker is a player that RM would love to draft.
His performance against Ole Miss specifically was a great highlight of what he's capable of.
4.76? Thats Tabor speed!
