In 55 NFL seasons we've had winning streaks of 6 or more games only 9 times. Only 3 of them since Tom Landry did it 6 times. 3 of Landry's times that team made it to a Super Bowl. Jimmy did that once as well. Barry fell one game short of it.

It is not easy to win a lot of games in a row in the NFL. Our longest ever streak of regular season games is 11. 5 to close out 1968 and 6 to start 1969.

I'm not saying it means we are Super Bowl bound, but you have to admit, what this team is doing is not easy and our own glorious History proves it.

Oh, and if they fail, 5 wins has only been accomplished as the longest streak in a season 6 times. It was also done twice in seasons with longer streaks. So even if they lose this has still been a great run.

Lets put the first nail in their coffin.

That's how we should look at this game.

5 in a row doesn't impress me as much as winning in Seattle.

That was the best win of the season so far by any team.

Still can't get over how much more physical we looked then Seattle and how BA our offensive line is.

this game is important because it is a divisional game. they are always the most important, but the eagles game will be more imprtant because it will likley be for the division.if we sweep the skins and giants and split with the eagles the odds are very good of winning the division. then again if we just keep winning that will take care of everything

Extending that streak to at least 7 would be pretty damn good for us though. Give us a 2-0 start in the division and would allow us to start putting nails in the Giants and Commanders coffins. Which would be very nice.

As big as the Seahawks game was the truth is this game is bigger. This is an NFC East divisional opponent. Philly also 5-1 is already sitting at 2-0 in the division, Cowboys must win these divisional matchups

Yup.

Plus, shuts up the mouthiest team in the league.

True. lol I would love nothing more than a 4th qrt snoozer game with the Giants but I have come accustom to some tough games with the Giants and fully expect them to put up a fight this weekend.

After a great game, .. and beating the Super Bowl champs in their house, (which was supposed to be impossible) .. and then facing a team that had it handed to then last week, ... if Dallas can maintain their "business like attitude", and simply go out and take care of business by beating a Division foe in the Giants, ... I think it would be huge.

It could set us up to go 9-1 pretty easily.

I like the idea of using Murray later in the game at least this week. Let Randle work and use Dunbar plus Harris or Beasley to threaten outside. wear their linebackers and defensive ends down chasing outside then unleash Murray. kill over the top with Dez.

The Giants are that cornered animal with their season on the line. This game concerns me. We cannot let them hang around. I think it's huge if Rogers-Crommartie can't play and he didn't practice yesterday.

Such winning streaks are even tougher to come by since the start of the Salary Cap/Parity era.

How many cornered animals with their season on the line have you met? I once saw a cornered raccoon but he had a pretty good record at the time.

I think the two kangaroos seen fighting recently on the internet were both 1-3.

Nobody wants to go 1-4, .. their season was on the line.

Yes, but neither was truly cornered. A good, old fashioned street brawl. For what its worth, I'd pick either of those kangaroos over the Giants.

I really hope Dallas prepares for this game. Giants are going to throw everything at us. They are snake thats cornered. Thus they will do anything to try and win this game including injuring our players. Remember that shot Romo took straight to the ribs that knocked him out for the entire year? Remember Murray injuring his ankle during the game when we were on a hot streak in possibly a playoff run? It happened during a Giants game. Not saying the Giants are dirty. But don't think they have any respect for us like Seattle. They hate us with a passion. If there is any way to lay injury on us in a legal way, they will.

According to the above, it looks like 8 games is the longest streak in season.
