Lets talk about the CB position

With drafting Devin Moore in the 4th rounder.

If Revel can take a giant step forward. And Moore learns a year behind bland/durant (Durant is on a 1 year deal).

Next season could we really have two big corner on the outside.

Revel 6'2 194lbs and Devin Moore 6'3 198lbs.

If Daron Bland doesn't play well this season the cowboys can move him/cut him and save money.

Time will tell. I am rooting for bland.

Sounds iffy. CB room is weak as hell. CP needs to live up to the hype of being some sort of sorcerer for the secondary

CB’s are not great, but not horrible either. A step above last year. And some better depth. And with a better scheme. A better front 7. Along with what seems will be a very strong set of Safeties. They can be good enough.

Bland's issue has been injury.
Moore injury issues have been worse than Bland.

My guess is if Bland's issue continues CB will be the top priority next draft.
Hell, it might be regardless!

DQ liked tall corners also. Long corners can be great in press and have length to knock down balls in zone.

I actually don't think it's a bad room at all. Hopeful that Bland plays better outside of that awful scheme and a year removed from the injury. I view this as Revel's rookie year with a good DB staff. Durant is a solid player. Moore and Bridges will slot in as depth and Downs will play nickel. Much improved over last year.

Bland does not need someone getting through to him. Bland has never been a great cover corner, he is a great anticipation guy who really thrives with pressure. No amount of getting through to him is going to change that! Give him some pressure so he does not have to consistently cover 3 seconds and he will be very adequate and get some int's.

We can disagree but you are not a low confidence CB if you have 14 picks in your first 2 years and 5 pick 6's. Even in the first two years he was consistently beat when he had to cover a bit. Did his injury take some of his confidence away? Don't know because the QB did not have to rush his throws at all against the Cowboys front at all last year

His picks mostly came against bad qb/wr combos. After the dk Metcalf game something went wrong. The very next game.....if he was really a dawg corner he would've matched up against aj brown. Instead Quinn put old Gilmore on him. Also against the Bengals, Bengals coach told chase that bland and diggs were scared of him. When chase sat down to review film against Dallas woth Steve Smith they both were pretty much laughing at how bland was playing Chase. Etc etc.

I think we have a solid secondary. No superstars but know where’s Waldo either. The safety upgrade at both spots changes things.

The Joneses rushed to re-sign him because they were getting a discount. And now the organization regrets it and they’re looking for the door.

They can realize some level of savings next year and I expect them to move on. Trade or release.

I mean, I still have it at the same level of question as last year, just this time Diggs is gone and Revel should be healthy for camp.

Still got question marks on Bland. This will be Revels first TC in pads, so basically a rookie that went through the ringer to end last year. Carson just seems like a depth guy, but it's now year 3 so now or never so to speak.
Not sure what to expect from the vets we signed, guess they are the fail safe in case of injury or regression from the young guys.
